I guess it depends how long they want them away from home, it could be argued that it would be best to go straight to Kiev from London too, then stay in London after Kiev, then maybe the night after the cup final, and then we have Liverpool away in the PL, do we just go straight there from London too ?

Its a nightmare set of games, and we started it with 13 fit outfield players, 4 of which have played today.

Yep it's a problem. Not totally unexpected though as the dates of the fixtures were out months ago. It's the distance and injuries. Playing some of the younger players a bit earlier in the season may have helped a bit but no one could have predicted injuries like this.

Well we expected it didn't we. Only clappers thought we had a chance with that team.

Caballero and MDM were truly shite but will no doubt be defended by some on here.

The kids did great. At least they looked like they gave a shit, apart from I hate to say it, Brandon Barker who also looked like he couldn't give a fuck. Don't think I saw him sprint whilst he was on. He waltzed round like a big time Charlie. I was really excited to see him in a real game but was left bitterly disappointed.

It was Barker who sprinted the length of the pitch to get back & stop Chelsea getting the 6th.

Sorry mate, your lack of punctuation leaves me speechless. People like you have been whinging all season about the lack of youth. And when you get it, and for good reasons, you continue to whinge. Grow a pair.

its not about giving the youth a shot its giving up the fa cup in that's way when playing 5 or more EDS lads away to Chelsea its (cannon fodder) and what will they ever get out of a game without the top players in the team knowing they are going to lose and get little credit. how many will be here next season in that starting line up today and forget this thing that pep will give youth a chance he is a winner and wants to win more than anything else so we will see very big signings again this summer mark my words

when your saying moaning everybody got a view just like yours I respect but will never come with low blows of sticks and stones. I just say as I see it the EDS is not the answer for the premier league teams the youth was always 2nd to a reserve team and playing match football each week even if its is to empty grounds give the players who have not played a game. the premier league teams have a squad of 25 players plus youth and EDS so how many players are getting match football each week

I feel its why we always have a very big injury list each season the players that are not getting match football each week and don't have the build up of match contact and contesting a full 90min game there is nothing like playing to keep you in shape and today players are just sitting on the bench week after week that can be no good for anybody. so ask the right people that have played football what its like not playing week after week and then your ask to play after not playing for a couple of months your not ready how can you be

we are never going to build superstar players you are having a laugh if you think that what happens. you just don't build or train a messi he is just born that way nothing about the training or barca youth setup if only it was that easy. the real world is keep on dreaming and have the right people with deep pocket to spend very big money on youth and coaches and keeping ex-players in work knowing to well they are bluffing in what they think it what it takes to make MESSI

He was the kid I was most excited to see and ended up being the one I was most disappointed with. His body language was awful. Looked like he was in a right moody and couldn't be arsed.

He always looks that way. On the ball he looks great, off it he just seems to ball watch.
Anyway, kids played well overall but fuck me Willy is shite. Hate the way we compromise that position for every cup tie, I'll be seriously pissed off if Joe doesn't start in the final.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but we should have found a way to do it, at least to give them some experience, though by the sounds of it (didn't see it), they all stood up to be counted, one's got his first goal on his debut, and another has marked that dirty tw@t Costa admirably, so perhaps they will have learnt a lot today, by being thrown in the deep end. I hope we don't waste that, by not using them again, I'd give a couple of them a seat on the bench on Wednesday, or next Sunday, as a reward, and we have 6 spaces, so it can't hurt.

Injuries aside this tie was always going to be tough.
Away to a resurgent championship winning team with all critical players fit when still in contention for 4 trophies in the second half of February was always a big big ask.
I am certainly not too downhearted about getting knocked out today.
I will however be extremely pissed off if I see the names Caballero, De Michaelis and Kolarov on the team sheet at Wembley!!!

I m not the manager mate and thats not the point.
The point is the way that this club works is underachieving !
And its not only managers fault ...Txiki and Mubarak are to blame too .

What it your point then?
Are you suggesting we should sack the lot and then do what exactly?

We deliberately fielded a weakened team as the club had set other priorities, and Pellers has no wiggle room at all with only 13 fit players. To come on here after the game suggesting the club is shoddily run is a little disingenuous IMO

Thought Tosin was bloody excellent today, in fact all the youngsters did themselves no harm at all, would have been nice to see Celina get on the ball a bit more but that was Chelseas best eleven. Willy was bloody awful, no idea why he takes up a place in the squad. Can't understand the fabregas wankfest on bbc, he's a fucking fraud who can thread a pass when given 10 minutes to pick it, but goes missing when up against quality. Finally MP, think he went overboard to prove his point, but he didn't want the first team to lose 3 on the bounce and the opportunity to take the club further in the CL than we've been before will be seen as tangible progress, even though we all know we ain't going to win it.

All the news channels having a rentboys wankfest, chelsea put 5 past manchester city it was against a team of kids for fucks sake.
Not really a shock is it mate, they love the cocky rentboys and the rag fucks, just watch them have a sausage bashing party if the rags scrape past the mighty shrewsbury tomorrow, i dont even read the tabloids or watch the news anymore I may asweel just poor a bag of shit directly into my head, I even watch all games on the foreign channels so I dont have to listen to the bunch of pricks.

I think the club were bang on today, we didn't show disrespect to the cup the FA and BBC did they can stick their FA cup right up their arse as far as im concerned, we've been on the end of bullshit decisions all season, even if we did put a full strength whats the odds the ref wouldnt have give some bullshit penalty or dodgy decision like actually happened in tonights game, the players would have been fucked by the time we play the dippers on sunday. I for one enjoyed watching the youngsters give it a good go, and if it wasnt for the early second have goal who knows how it would have gone. Chin up blues we got to see some good youth prospects today and we fucked off BBC win win for me.

Gutted to be honest but totally agree with this. The minute the draw was made it was made clear that we could play a decent side Friday or Saturday.....but no of course it had to be Sunday 4pm an absolute clusterfuck yet again. Have the TV Companies and the FA not got any fucking intelligence at all. So good on City and whilst dissappointed to have to in effect throw a game and go out of a great competition, I really dont see what choice there was. It has once again devalued the competition but not Citys fault it is down to the fuckwits at the BBC and the FA.

To be fair I was gutted when I knew it was going to be on at 4 on the sunday, I wrote the game of then so im not so disappointed tonight, and lets face it do you in all honestly think this FA would let us win everything ? if it looked like we was going to I think we would see a lot more strange decisions against us, not that I think the FA are bent :)

Fuckin fuming reading the BBC report. They have got the nerve to ask "Did Man City disrespect the FA Cup?"

No you fuckwits, you disrespected it by conspiring with the FA to make us play on a Sunday despite being warned that we would play the kids if you did

I don't disagree that the cup tie was sacrificed, but what other option was available?

Yes, we all know, winning the CL is dreamland, but we have a decent draw and could feasibly progress (which is what the owners want).

We are down to the bare bones of a first team and we have a mid week CL and weekend LC final ahead of us. Just think it would have been unwise to risk playing a stronger team today, particularly the way we seem to easily pick up injuries at the moment.
