Catalan paper SPORT reported couple of days ago that we have hired Xevi Marce (?) who worked at Barca academy. Nothing official though, so well have to see.Missed this mate, who was this then?

Verdict is still out there if having him as DoF than not but it seems finally some one smelled the coffee and questioned his decision making.Helps if the best people you want have allies at the club they respect and have worked for before. Much like Pep coming partly because of Txiki.
Just my opinion but I suspect the respect and faith in Txiki inside the club far outweighs the respect he's afforded by some supporters. Don't get me wrong he's definitely made some dud buys but we are still much better off having him as DoF than not.

He's the person who made it the right time to be at Barcelona. He's the person who stood in front of the Barcelona board and told them not to hire the experienced, hottest manager on the market, Jose Mourinho, but instead hire the B team coach with no experience of senior management to take over in a time of crisis.
Whatever you think of his work at City, the idea he lucked into a Barca job at the right time is laughably stupid.
