Love the avoidance tactics, haha!!
In that instance I think it's a pretty good avoidance tactic.
As infuriating as he is when he plays, the last 2 weeks have highlighted how key he is to us. No one has the ability to dictate the pace of the game like yaya does.
His halfhearted attitude in some games is infuriating, but when he doesn't play there is a gaping hole in how we perform as a team.

You're not the sharpest, are you fatman?? Re read what I posted, asking you to look at the defensive line and the enforced role of yaya... That isn't yaya you numpty, it's the tactic of the manager... Avoidence stems from the initial observation that you ignored or failed to grasp, either way your point remains mute!!!

Without Yaya we are bullied, without Silva we lack imagination.
Without both we are dreadful, someone needs to be responsible for this.

Who was supporting Aguero last night. Aguero played well, but was totally isolated and frequently dropped deep to collect the ball.

This is all a knock-on effect of playing Toure. There was a time when he was able to surge up in support of the forward and create havoc in the penalty area.
Which is precisely what Yaya did last night, and often found Aguero behind him, and nobody to pass too, I thought he was excellent second half last night.

How about you read what I posted and answer the question about getting our central midfielders into the box. You say Yaya's role is enforced meaning he has to come short due to a lack of ability with the other midfielders and you're right to some extent, especially in Fernando's case. Yet in the same instance you fail to mention that Yaya's lack of defensively ability means even when he does come short or play as the deepest midfielder we are forced to keep at least one other midfielder back to protect him, restricting our ability to get players forward to support Aguero.

Yaya has been very good the last few weeks and has been the only one looking to take control of games. The only player last night that you thought would produce something when on the ball. There was numerous times where he held off 2/3 players waiting for something to open up for him only to see zero movement infront of him.

Ffs, it's like talking to a 3 year old... The answer is there if you care to read,.. You can't have runners in the box the way we are set up, which rolee rightly alludes to as containment football. We can't set up any other way because we unfortunately, don't have the personnel, or ones good enough to execute.... Yep, that's all yayas fault...

We get it, you don't like the guy, appreciate his quality... yada yada fucking yada, but please don't try to engage people who actually understand (i) the set up and (ii) why he's in the team....

If Pep plays a similar way to at Bayern & Barca, the fullbacks will be like midfield players &/or wingers half the time, so the numbers in there change completely, as well as the fact his whole method of play is different anyway. Yaya isn't often going to be stood in centre mid on his own with 4 players charging past him nor have to sprint forward 50 yards.

Marvin mustn't have been watching recently!

Just looked back on what he said. I actually agree with him in terms of Aguero being isolated and it being a knock on effect of playing the two ferns and Yaya. However, Yaya shouldn't be the one to offer most support to Aguero in last nights formation, that should be Silva and Navas. Unfortunately, one is being played out of position and that isn't his role in the team and the other gets homesick if he leaves the right touchline.

Love the way Yaya gets us out of tight situations and turns defence into attack. His one or two touch combinations with Dave Silva are brilliant. We really miss this when he doesn't play.

Yaya did well last night. I'm sure the Rags who were watching will be a little concerned at his performance.

Fuck me, finally you answer, it only took you 3 or 4 posts to get there. Like you finally admit, we can't have runners into the box when Yaya plays. Therefore by accommodating him we're restricting ourselves to slow, dull, pedestrian or "containment" football as you like to call it. (i) I understand the set up completely, it's not fucking working. (ii) I understand why Yaya is in the team completely, it's not fucking working.

Why stick with something that's not fucking working? Why not try something different? To say "we can't set up any other way" is just fucking naive, Leicester are living proof of just what can be achieved by playing ugly and they don't have anywhere near the same quality we do. I might add before certain posters take it out of context and make assumptions, I don't want us to go long ball, I just want there work rate out of possession and quick counter attacks. It's all about short term results from now until the end of the season to try and secure a Champions League place, who cares if it's ugly for 11 games as long as it gets results. It may or may not work, not one of us knows for certain but just sitting back, accepting what clearly isn't working is insane. The best bit is we would have a completed rested Yaya to come on and do what he does best for 10-15 minute spells and be a match winner if we need to take a gamble late on in games.

I got about half way down and decided, yep, he is this deluded... Returning the analysis, that's the original analysis, in your own guise, doesn't make it yours ffs... There's a reason you're derided for your yaya stance, you clearly don't understand the mans game or how it's applies to this team...

'Why stick with it if it clearly isn't working'.... Wow, just wow..
