He's great at passing the ball. Which has fooled so called experts and normal football fans into thinking he's the next Baresi..

Unfortunately as a defender, he's average other that in one area. Which is making massive mistakes that lead to loads of goals, REPEATEDLY. people seriously want us to buy him. For 50 million.....!! Give me strength!

He takes far too many chances at the back as well, tries to play out under pressure but he's not good enough. I'd rather get Cahill if we need an English centre back. But I'd much prefer Thiago Silva to either of them.

£17M on Kolarov was a lot of money for a full back when we bought him, although I'm not a Kolarov hater I would never call him a bargain. The rest were excellent value though I agree.

A lot of alternatives I would want more than Stones. Getting Sule before Liverpool would be the best scenario in my opinion. Strong, smart player. Would also be cheaper than Laporte/Stones so we can address other needs.

I'm very iffy with Stones to be honest. He's good on the ball, but takes far too many risks, and defensively isn't all that great.

Never ever buy English. Home grown is the only way to go.

Even if they are crap they are better than throwing money away on what will become crap.
