What was the atmosphere like v PSG?

They've turned down the stadium microphones since we started booing the CL anthem. Watch a game from before and watch one from last night, it's pretty obvious they've been edited. The atmosphere last night was the best I've seen in Europe, including Hamburg.

It topped a lot of the Euro away games I've been to as well. When someone says 'big European night under the lights' that's what I'm gonna think of. Honestly, it was euphoric, comparable to any game at the new ground.

This.

Every penny I spent was worth it. It was definitely the best atmosphere at the Etihad this season.

I've just watched the whole game back from the BT coverage I recorded last night and the atmosphere seemed fine on the coverage and seemed exactly how I experienced it at the game.

Really loud to start (which the commentator said it was, called it a "wall of noise"), then went quiet from about the sixth minute for about fifteen minutes (I remember it being like that at the ground too) and it was okay for the rest of the first half. Then in the second half it was really good and seemed like that on BT too.

Plus even Steve McPointalot even said at the very end "it was an absolute pleasure being here on a night like this"!

Me and my son was in the north stand level 1 where de bruyne celebrated it was great never seen so many people standing up and getting involved. Heard what BT sport were sting more of a reason why I've cancelled them after this season it's a rag channel..

fantastic atmosphere and colourful... the singing was all through the game.

heard the comment on talk shit, totally wrong.

the two new vinny & sergio telescopic flags in 115 looked brilliant, hope fully pictures to come.

I got that from Zabs tweet last night. It shit me up at that time!
I shit myself as well. I think I was expecting the fire and it was a bomb of paper and was proper loud, I think most people shit themselves, haha

I live in Leicester, everyone at work this morning (who watched the game) was very complementary about the occasion, atmosphere and the achievement. A couple commented on McPointy and his bullshit and genuinely didn't have a clue as to what he was talking about.

It may be because the Leicester fans aren't part of the Sky4 cartel and are "proper" supporters, but not everyone falls for the utter shite that BT spout.

McManaman only had that one comment about the seats before everyone had got to their seats. Other than that he was fine and even said it was a pleasure to be there at the end.

It was Ginola and Ferdinand who were the shit ones.

Not heard the commentary mate, I was at the game, so I'll take your word for it (although that's not the impression I get from this thread)..

Mcmanamans rant was disgraceful. Ginola and Ferdinand put the cherry on the top basically, sad twats.

I was at the game too, just watched it all back today. His exact words were "it was an absolute pleasure to be here in a night like this"!

The atmosphere was the best its been this season by far, but it shows how poor it has become in general the people are saying it was great. There were good moments towards the end where Blue Moon was sung (one was annoyingly interrupted by them announcements they kept making), but there were long periods of no singing at all from our fans. Definitely a step in the right direction but still only a 6/10 for me.

Don't know what Ginola was ranting about. Seemed to just lose it.

They was talking about the game and he just launched into this unprovoked attack on City.. strange.

fuk what wio has to say, that's all he has left in him to fight any battles, his team are finished and he knows it, all that's left down at the glorious empire is a whiskey fulled red faced alcoholic, who tags along with a scruples ticket tout, one or two others now and again crawl out from under there rocks such as paddy crerrand, funny how they have all turned to the bottle

I think the Chelsea game was the best atmosphere this season. Last night came close but as you say there were plenty of quiet moments. I'd put that down to nervousness in the crowd as in the main the fans were well up for it. The second half was better than the first and the crowd gradually got louder even before the goal.

The acoustics mean that you don't always hear fans singing in a different section of the ground. I'm in 115 which tends to be one of the noisier areas - however, last night we could hear the south east corner on the other side of the PSG fans better than at most other games, plus the noise carried down to us from the SS 3rd tier on more than one occasion which was reminiscent of that Chelsea game.

314 was great, I have a growl instead of a voice today.
