The battle for 4th place

Good we are talking about 3rd rather than if we can get 4th lol love the confidence from City fans !

Sunderland's win over Norwich has just handed them two difficult ties in the run in.

And made our game against Newcastle more difficult, to be fair.

Spuds F### up against Stoke gives us more incentive to beat Newcastle, by next Saturday afternoon we could be second. Is that over optimistic?
Face we never make it easy

On like donkey kong !!! ;)

Newcastle game is going to be very difficult. A win under their belts so they have some confidence but they really really have to beat us. That is going to be a Cup Final. perhaps one of the most important games Newcastle have ever played.

4th is not done yet, and yet we could also finish runners up in an absolutely bonkers season

Pellers said today he is looking for 6 points to cement our position in the top 3 - Yes we are in 3rd tonight - but a couple of games ago I was thinking we will do well to finish 5th.
No counting chickens yet - but we have gained some great confidence probably with KdB and Nasri coming back from injury.
If at all posible I would love to see us finish 2nd - as we did in 2013 and 2015. ? can't remember where we finished in 2011.
City - most successful team in the last 5 years - ruining football !!

PS. If Arse draw with Palace on Monday we stay 3rd - on goal difference.

The next two games we can't afford to slip up. 6 points from 6 and I think we will easily see it through. Just need to focus on Newcastle and Stoke.

I don't know whether to look up or down any more! More or less the same distance from Spurs as we are from the rags.

Was pissed off from 10am to 2.30pm my time..... watching the rags and every opportunity was taken to mention ''only being one point behind City if they win'', ''putting the pressure on City with a win''.
Then all through the City game, mentioning being one point behind the rags at the start of the game and the need to ''put daylight'' between us and the rags.

NEVER ONCE WAS ARSENAL MENTIONED......
No mention of us being above Arsenal if we win. No mention of ''putting the pressure on Arsenal with a win'' but it all being about the rags and us.

Sorry to say but it's your own fault for watching the rags. Did you really expect anything else?

Big win in terms of top 4. Newcastle away will be tough now as they've got hope rekindled; however we're in the driving seat now. Even if United win every match we can afford 2 draws from our final 5 matches - they'll struggle to win every match.

Today showed what happens if we turn up against teams who have nothing to play for, of which 4 of our remaining 5 are against (Stoke/Sot'on/Arsenal/Swansea).

How do the arses have nothing to play for? they will likely go back above us tomorrow as they are home to palace and have another home game midweek
