They have a steady set of volunteers willing to chip in on all fronts, but the commitments (community projects they have received funding for) they have got themselves involved with means they have to employ people to deliver them and employ people to attract funding / manage the funding and manage the club on a day to day basis- and that requires salaries.
One of the members' biggest gripe is the club existed for years with volunteers doing the fundraising, and then Andy Walsh employed a mate of his to be a paid as a fundraiser - and he pulled in way less than the volunteers did who weren't being paid for the privilege and he also cocked up a previously successful ''Legends Evening'' Gala that volunteers had organized that was cancelled as a result of his in poor performance.
Regardless of the ''rights'' or ''wrongs'' of the formation of the club, there are some hard working fans involved whose efforts frankly haven't deserved to be shat on from those elected members, chosen to steer the ship forward.
