No it doesn't suggest exclusivity. The UK is often described as a Christian country but that doesn't stop non-Christians living here and being citizens with the same rights free to practice whatever religion they want. Same applies to Israel. Unfortunately there are many countries in the world where this isn't the case.

I think that judging by his lack of response to me that he got himself a bit confused as he thought he had some kind of point and has shuffled off now.

Back to Livingstone, does it matter that he's suspended in all reality? He's been in and out of the official Labour Party before. He's not getting any younger and his power is dwindling. I can't think too many see him as a serious politician these days.

Jews were being killed in numbers almost as soon as the Germans invaded Russia in June 1941 plus the decision to commence mass killings using gas chambers was probably taken at around the same time. America being in the war certainly made it politically easier for the Nazis to carry out the Holocaust but the decision had been taken well before that.
