John Mann was the most vocal in defending Phil Woolas when he sent out racist leaflets in Oldham trying to stir up trouble between the Asian & white community,
Woolas then sent an email to his campaign staff saying "if we don't get the whites angry I'm done for", Woolas was later booted out of parliament because of it and triggered a by-election, yet Mann still supported him.

And let's not forget that Mann's parliamentary best buddy was the disgraced ex-mp Denis McShane who he supported to the hilt.

the bloke is a fraud who speaks a lot but has nothing to say.

I'm not sure how taking a particular stance on the issue of Israel can do anything but put someone in the firing line. If you're pro Palestine, then by definition, you're anti Israel and vice versa.
Livingston did make a good point the other night though away from this subject regarding tolerance. He said, "under saddam hussein, a woman could walk through bagdad in a mini skirt without any problems. After the intervention of the West, she'd now get stoned to death".

Ha! Ha! Fucking pricless.Using Hussein as a paragon of tolerance is akin Charlton Heston preaching to the burghers of Dunblane about how things used to be so much better when everyone had a gun.

Fully agree.

Equally those hiding their antisemitism behind a cloak of anti-Israel rhetoric should be challenged. Of course, people with legitimate criticism of Israel's policies and actions shouldn't be automatically accused of antisemitism.

Anti Semitism is rearing its head again this is evident, it's as out there publicaly as islamophobia. Seemingly one is ignored or someone gets suspended or kicked out of a party, the other gets prosecuted and vilified all seems fairly odd
