Which players are no longer good enough?

Demichelis and Kolarov obviously. I think Zaba and Toure too, regrettably.
I'd also probably look to move on Bony and either Fernando or Delph.

As for signings, I'd make a wide attacker (ideally left-footed) and a centre midfielder top priority. Bale or Griezman, plus Gundogan. I'd also like to see us go for another striker, preferably one who could play out wide, too, at a push (Aubameyang?).

Replace Demichelis with Denayer. As for the rest, I'd ideally like to see us promote a few of the kids - Maffeo and Angelino, perhaps, plus a couple of the most highly-rated centre midfielders - Bryan? Garcia? (I don't watch them enough to make a proper judgment on who is most ready). If Guardiola doesn't think they are, then I'd hope we go out and spend a bit on a young, promising midfielder who is more developed.

New keeper as well to replace Caballero (ideally someone young who will ultimately challenge Hart).

That would give us something along the lines of:

- Hart, New Keeper
- Sagna, Clichy, Maffeo, Angelino
- Kompany, Mangala, Denayer, Otamendi
- Gundogan, Fernandinho, Silva, Nasri, Fernando/Delph (plus two others as per above)
- De Bruyne, Bale/Griezmann, Aguero, New Striker, Iheanacho, Sterling (plus possibly Navas - wouldn't really mind whether he stayed or not)

Right back might still be a concern there, as good as Sagna has been this season. I suspect Denayer would be a decent option there, though.

Never going to win a game when he started 4 possibly 5 of those players who are no longer good enough.

Half of those players in my OP are no longer good enough for the premier league, wankers.

Hard to tell because none of them are fit enough. Blowing out of their areas week-in-week-out, pulling up with injuries as a result of lack of fitness. Constantly outworked by our opposition because of their lack of fitness.

Also hard to tell because they aren't given a gameplan and we have no systems in place. We might see different players if they were instructed what to do by someone called a "coach".

You can't tell who's really shit or just left out to dry by a shit manager.

Unfortunately this is so true.

City got unbalance team.
Lack of winger and too many old players.
KDB, silva, nasri, delph and fernandinho are no winger. We depend a lot for attacking fullback to provide threat from outwide.
What make things worse, all 4 fullback will be in their 30s in the summer. Their legs are long gone.

At least 5 signings needed - 2 new fullback on both sides, gundogan, left footed winger, and new striker.

Kolarov, Bony, Demichelis. I still think Fernando and Mangala could do a job under Pep. Navas needs upgrading but is an alright rotation option.

We'd struggle to get half what we paid for Sterling if we tried to sell him. That tells you how shit he's become in just ONE season.

zabba
mdm
kolarov
cabba
delph
sterling( a 50/50)
bony
yaya(he will be gone anyway tbh)

there is a lot of dross that need fucked away and its doing my head in when i saw people posting that we need only 2-3 signings because pep will do wonders with the others NO he wont because they are fucking shit what fucking wonders pep to do with bony kolarov or even zabba(done at this level)

A homegrown slot should be a keeper, surely, rather than someone who's going to play <5% of games taking up a slot?

maybe, but then you want a homegrown player to develop by playing as many games as possible. That wont happen at City. Didnt happen for Hart, he was loaned to Birmingham before he became our number 1.

If you look at Iheanacho and Sterling then there is only one player there who looks like a £44million footballer and he's not English.

We have got quality in our academy and we must start giving the players chances.

There is no point in trying to have 22 established internationals in the squad. All it does it lead to complacancy especially as many of them know they will be rotated most of the time.

Kelechi showed the way today. His enthusiasm put the rest to shame. There is zero point in bringing a 35 year old CB on in centre midfield when we are 3-1 down.

Give the fucking lads a chance. Manu Garcia could not have done any worse and his enthusiasm could have lifted the squad.
