Kelechi Iheanacho

Nothing to see here!

Seems to me that hardly anyone commenting actually bothered to read the article.

Basically it concludes that he wasn't ignored, just understandably struggled to make an impact & that it was a bit of a strange decision to bring him on as a replacement for Silva anyway.
Yeah I didn't read it. :-)

Yes, the author's reply to his own question is a very clear "No"

Agreed. In fairness to Pellers I think he saw RM sitting off us and gambled on going with 2 strikers and going for it but yeah it didn't work.

Start him against Madrid, pick players in form rather than those with a name.

He better be on the bench on weds and ahead of the useless bony, only one who comes out of today's game with any credit a few others ok the rest dreadful..

As well as the 2 goals he laid a chance on a plate for Sterling, real quality today. I can see no reason to lay out millions on a No.2 striker in the summer.

Has to play in Madrid, he's class.
Calm down kid, this was Southampton's defense, playing all out attack football.
Best thing to come out of our nursery since Premier League Championship winner Kasper Schmeichel, But Hart is a Better Keeper and Sergio is a better striker against top opposition.

Remember the first time we saw him play?

Staying up till god knows what time to find out we have some 17 year old trialist starting for us.

Think we all said we had found a goodun

He has gone onto score a goal every 86 minutes in the PL and a goal every 79 minutes in all competitions - the highest of any player in Europe - scoring 13.
He also has 5 assists to his name.
He has scored 7 goals from 9 shots on target in the PL haha

I don't expect him to keep up such crazy ratios but he is clearly very clinical, he has ice in his veins, and he has that arrogance/confidence in his play that a lot of top players have.

We're lucky to have him. We could have been trying to sign him from Porto for 50m in a year or twos time. Thankfully he chose us :)

One of the few shining lights from a terrible domestic campaign

What better options do we have? Yaya will be unfit, sterling shouldn't play again this season and bony should never play for us again.
