Now, apparently mortgages will go up and 18% will be wiped of the value of houses if we vote out. That couple with all actors signing the letter for us to stay in p really gives the 'outers' something to think about!

Not really, it's all see though. The politicians trying to scare homeowners and 'celebs' trying to influence their fans and weak minded

Pretty poor stuff from the 'inners' I'd say
 
My nephew has just told me he is now going to vote Leave as 18% off property prices would be fantastic for him as he looks to buy a flat.

I wish the remain campaign would try something other than project fear and getting the likes of Obama to tell us to stay. So far I've not heard a convincing argument why leaving would be bad for the economy. At the moment all we seem to be getting is scaremongering. I understand big business is generally pro-EU but it's not clear why.
 
Is see today's scare story is our house prices are going to fall. Presumably as a result of the world war we were threatened with yesterday? Yawn. #projectfear.

It's just straw man after straw man with you. Japan, the EU and Britain can all succeed or fail for completely different reasons to one another

At least outside the EU, Britain can do well or badly as a democracy, something that cannot be said of the EU.

Exactly. There's no reason why the roof over your head being expensive is any more desirable than the food on your plate costing more.

Outside the EU if we felt excessive demand was harming housing affordability, we'd have the chance to do something about it.
 
I was undecided tbh as I have no clue about politics until this afternoon when a nice chap came to read the meter. I offered him a cold drink, big mistake, there was no stopping him, yap yap feckin yap, anyway after listening to his speech for over an hour I've decided to vote out. I'm beginning to think the out brigade planted him under the pretence of reading the meter, crafty feckers!

As I understand it, big business is pro TTIP as is Cameron and the Conservatives. It's some of the countries of the EU that are against TTIP as it stands which means that it's unlikely to happen. The chances are that if we get out of Europe Cameron will agree to something even worse than TTIP with the support of big business.

If we vote out the only thing Cameron will be agreeing to is what date to book the removal van for 1O downing st. I understand your point though, but its still basically saying if we don't accept something bad then we will get some as yet unimagined horror instead. I think that might be bollocks mate tbh.

I think we're guaranteed to get the TTIP or similar if we leave Europe. Think about it, Britain is now a country without any trade deals. The first country we'll want to negotiate a trade deal with is America. And what do you imagine the Americans will insist upon? Given that they're now a government entirely under the thumb of corporations, probably something that allows their corporations to do whatever the fuck they want. Like so many things in this referendum, it doesn't make a massive difference whether we're in or out. But obviously it's harder to get a bloc of 27 countries to agree to a trade deal than if we go it alone, and you have far more power to negotiate when you're the biggest economy in the world.

It might well be bollocks but the problem is the information to make a judgement doesn't appear to be out there. The remain camp's campaign is focussed on scaremongering without saying why and the leave camp seems to be ignoring some of the more difficult questions.
