17 mill is all their asking?! Sign it. The upside is more than worth it.
Perhaps one of them wouldn't get in :)It's not an ideal situation but Gundogan is that good, he's worth the wait. Judging by the more reliable posters he'll be fit when the Champions League group stages begin and that's when the "squad" is stretched so we'll be absolutely fine. I can't imagine he'll be the only central midfielder arriving either, considering the only true all rounder we have is Fernandinho.
That said I think we'll be playing a 3-6-1 next season, with two holding midfielders and two central attacking midfielders. It's the only way to get De Bruyne and Silva in the same team in their favoured positions.
He will be fit in October according to reports, and then he may need a month to hit top form, therefore I prefer to wait until January and sign him when he is fit and have only 6 months left on his contract.
Happy that he might go elsewhere in the meantime?
He can wait if he really want to join us.
I dislocated my kneecap - it has never been the same since. I think we should pass on this player.
If 17mil is the asking price....then no reason why we cant buy Gundogan (injury or no injury) as his signing isnt going to impact our spending for the summer. At a bigger price bracket this might be a risky move but the long term potential of this signing and at this price, makes it a win-win for us.....I just wish Txiki would close some of these deals....find it really frustrating that Bayern can close Renato Sanches deal in 2 days after reports that the rags werent moving fast enough and we've reportedly been in talks for "months" for players like Gundogan and Laporte and still not closed even when one of them has a release clause we've rumoured to be willing to trigger.....
That's good news, I don't know anybody else personally who has had this excruciating injury. To be fair it happened late on in my sporting days and I gave up football and cricket afterwards. Nowadays the knee is very arthritic and unstable and will have to be replaced soon, probably didn't get the right care and physio at the time. You must have been really unlucky.
I dislocated mine, did all the required physiotherapy at the hospital and have never had a problem with it since.
I assume he'll be getting the best treatment possible so we shouldn't think twice about getting him.

The transfer window isnt actually open yet is it? Hasnt it always been july 1st? or is my head in cuckoo land here?
he has had a diffcult two yearsDon't buy damaged goods - much better to persuade Dortmund to sell Weigl.

You not in cuckoo land mate!;) Your right....Officially no, its not open for another month but try telling that to teams like Bayern and Arsenal who have already done deals...With the euros coming up that "official" transfer date doesnt really make much impact as teams wanting to do their business earlier this year...

Agree in principle and sign in july then?
