The only thing that bothered me is that I read some Dortmund fan describing how he has some kind of a degenerative disc disease IIRC, and that's what prompted the surgery which kept him out for over a year.

But that's not something that will be cured by surgery, just managed.

Does anyone know more about this specific issue, just a slight concern of mine. Would be an enormous blow if he had to have another huge period out like that during his time here.
