Racist incidents on the rise?

Them 3 fucktards of the tram have been arrested, I'm assuming it was only remain voters that dobbed them in.

He's just fucking said I've condoned racism. Just before you posted that.

"In my opinion you have". Don't try to defend him.

Afterwards he did, but not in that original message. But the lynch mob jumped on him and he took it further.

Honestly, I would love it, love if it just one of the Outers said 'do you know what, there probably were quite a few racists who voted out that swayed the result in our favour'. Or do you all believe that 17 million people from Burnley, Hartlepool and Grimsby suddenly became experts in politics, EU laws and the future economic benefit of Brexit?

Most of the media programmes I have seen since Brexit showed many voters were just pissed off with being poor. Many don't know why they voted out!

Labour and Tory Governments had done sweet FA for them!

Quite a few racists certainly did vote for out this for most of us is not a revelation, if that figure was above 1.2 million who knows. Plus you would have to factor in that they may have wanted out for other reasons as well. Probably best to just accept what happened rather than try and read 17 million people's mind. Both sides will have had some pretty strange reasons for their votes.

I'll say it then. Of course there were probably some people who hold racist views that voted to leave the EU. But there might have been some racists who voted to remain for other reasons. There might have been some paedophiles, criminals or drug dealers, who need the free market or free movement to move drugs or carry out other criminal activities.

I must be the biggest racist on here then, as the biggest reason I voted out was because of that **** Obama. I thought it was because I didn't like the American President telling me how to vote, and then threatening me by saying if we voted out he'd make sure we didn't get a decent trade deal with his country. However, all along it was because he is black.......

Thanks to those on here pointing out my mistake. I therefore wish to change my vote as I don't want to be a racist and want to feel morally high and be able to be a condescending **** to anyone who will be within earshot of my fuckwittery........thanks.

Racists exists - we all accept that.
It is almost inevitable that racists are going to vote to limit or eradicate immigration - I think most would accept that.

Now, we also have a sizeable number of people in the UK who take a very pragmatic approach to immigration, and just want us to have some sort of mechanism for controlling / counting the numbers so that we can plan and best accommodate immigration- there is nothing at all racist in that.

Sadly, the larger group of the above (those who want to control the numbers) act as a camouflage blanket for the genuine racists. That's not the 'control' people's fault. It's the racists doing what they do - hiding behind legitimate concerns to fulfil their own ends.

I voted to stay in, but I too would like to see better controls. I don't consider myself a racist, so why should I consider a leaver a racist with the same concerns?

The last thing I want to do though is pretend there aren't any racists. None of us should think that, and it's not always in your face rightwing extremists either, there's plenty of cuddly grandmothers and 'salt of the earth' types who hold some quite unsavoury views when they're caught off guard.

This is not a Leave vs Remain split, it's a plain old 'racist' vs 'non racist' split - although I'd also say it's not always clear cut who is who, and I even have to question myself sometimes when I make judgements on people. There's a little bit of prejudice in us all I'd say, and we should be wary of it. (Some will object to that last statement, but I'll stick with it).

You mean you didn't see the special edition in the Sun on International Trade Theory and Policy? You must have done. It was right next to that picture of a Polish guy and the 'Fuck off home you Polish c**t' strap line. I'm telling you it was a good read and made some compelling arguments. Almost voted Leave on the strength of it.

And you know what. When a free market, free movement body starts campaigning on free kiddie porn or why you too can become a drug mule in this brave new world I'll be the first to campaign and vote against it. See how fucking easy it is?

But the vote was about leaving the EU and there's other good reasons than racism and xenophobia to do that.

We look forward to Boris's crew getting tough on the British nonces that go to Thailand each year to abuse children!
