Exactly. Mahrez is an excellent player but if we're talking about players for Pep it has to be Sane. Don't think Mahrez would be at his best as a rigid winger and he doesn't look the quickest.

The post you replied to was making the point that it is about what Pep wants for his team not necessarily who is the best player currently. You might take mahrez over sane but they're very different players. Nobody is saying mahrez isn't a very good player but do you know exactly what role/roles he has in mind for sane and exactly how he wants him to operate? I'm guessing the answer is no, so how do you know that mahrez would be the better option in this instance?

Would agree. However, Schalke brass did also indicate they wanted him to make his mind up asap as they would like to get on with business. No indication from either side that a decision has been made.
