I must say that last summer I questioned Txiki's ability to recruit players and was vilified by the elite fans on here, now the club seem to be doing so...
The club is vilifying you ?I must say that last summer I questioned Txiki's ability to recruit players and was vilified by the elite fans on here, now the club seem to be doing so...

I know it's the mirror, but wouldn't surprise me if some of this is true. Txiki needs to hit on his transfers this summer.....and we still have a lot of work to do

A decision was made not to change order, but it is clear Begiristain has no excuses now that he is working with Guardiola again. [Mirror]

City have even contemplated bringing in another recruitment specialist to work alongside him due to his poor record. [Mirror]

Hmmm. So the weekend of Pep's unveiling to the press the narrative across the tabloids is that Txiki's under pressure and going to lose his job.
Funny that. Also funny that the narrative across the road at rag central is that they're now "back" because MooMoo's in charge over there.
Personally I think this is another transparent attempt to pour cold water on the set up at City because it pains people just how much better run a club we are than the rags.
Wonder what the narrative would be if WE were going to spunk 120 million on a player who's probably worth about half that and were about to destroy the current premier league wage ceiling.
Wouldn't say he got Ter Stegen for 15m just yet, its very dubious rumour with only Daily Mail reporting itTxixi got gundo for 19, nolito for 13 and now ter stegen for 15? Genius!

Yeah I'm withholding on my excitement for that one. the fact only the mail are reporting it is dubious to say the leastWouldn't say he got Ter Stegen for 15m just yet, its very dubious rumour with only Daily Mail reporting it
Bang on the money with that. Great post.Hmmm. So the weekend of Pep's unveiling to the press the narrative across the tabloids is that Txiki's under pressure and going to lose his job.

apart from Delph, who's Txiki bought that's been a genuine flop? The others have just been misused and poorly coached by Pellegrini.
The criticism of Txiki would be lack of wow signings, but I don't see any flops, not even Mangala, he's shown enough when given a run of games.
I do want some star, A-list signings this summer because that's what we've lacked since 2011/12, some real star power. It's been a long time since opposing fans have gone "oh fuck, City have signed x" under their breath.
He hasn't been great and inwould think most people.would agree he isnt good enough for us. However, he only cost 8m and we will easily get that back for him so not a bad signingJust curious as to why you would single out Delph as a failure? Or are you basing it on his poor injury record rather than his ability?
When fit I think he has been excellent albeit he hasn't been fit that often
How do we really know what he is like as when he was fit mp insisted playing him as on the left wing, clearly with little practice and hooking him half time when it didn't work, surprise surprise,i will be interested in how he does pre-season with pep before i write him offHe hasn't been great and inwould think most people.would agree he isnt good enough for us. It's a very small list. It has the word 'none' on itI always see a transfer listed followed by "its from ________ so don't put too much stock into it" or something similar. Is there a list of papers that we unanimously agree on are quality?
