He seems to hibernate and only come out to play during transfer windows.

There area few who only appear during the summer but are nowhere to be seen during the season,very strange

Hardly Tixiki's fault if Bony hasn't settled and performed, we paid 25m for the most inform striker in the league at the time. He was playing for a team playing decent football and there was nothing to suggest he couldn't step up and perform for us.

Him bullying us every time he played probably helped also, he showed enough in them games to show me that he is a capable striker.

Every player Txiki has signed has "talent" but the biggest issue for me is system fit.....Bony was "inform" striker in the prem when we signed him but has never fit our style of play....I give Txiki alot of credit for Kev...(dont think anyone would have believed how good he was going to be in his first season as a blue) but do I feel he's had a few issues with signing the "right" talent for our squad....another example of this is the fact we looking for two "new" CB's again this summer....I believe if Txiki had got it right first time we wouldnt have to be looking at spending another 80-90mil again this summer to fill needs at that CB position....Mangala has talent no question but is not going to be a fit for Pep, Bony has talent but has never settled and been a fit.....It's about projecting the talent and how it fits into our way of playing....We also must have one of the oldest groups of LB/RB in the league, with little talent behind them, again Txiki should have listened to 90% of bluemoon last summer when we said this would be a weakness during the season.....With Pep here now, I'm just hoping we'll have a clear direction and plan and be able to reach our goals for this summer transfer window.... exciting times ahead and with Pep behind him Txiki should have even better results....

Wasn't that the whole point? He was signed to bring something different to the team and add some variety.

Mangala was signed in 2014. Most of the leg work was done in 2013.

That's 2-3 years before pep came. You cannot expect Txiki to completely ignore Pelelgrini and make signings for a manager who we didn't know we'd get 3 years later.

We have old fullbacks and incredibly promising youngsters in Angelino and Maffeo. We need a signing on each side to bridge the gap, but if Txiki had signed a fullback last summer, maybe pep wouldn't have liked him and you'd be complaining still.

Not saying its our fault mate but we not helping ourselves....why make a bid 1mil(euros) short of the reported asking? Thats £850k....you just risk missing on the player or it costing even more now....No one knows what his club would have said if we had just offered the asking price on day one but any club would treat our offer as a slap in the face, just my opinion!

Hi mate....Rumours on here were we looking to loan out Mangala even before Pep arrived...almost as if, we knew our mistake after his first 12-18months in the team...and its never about "variety"....system fit/talent is always the most important in my opinion! Would you buy Usain Bolt to run a 10,000m long distance race? No....the player always has to fit your playing style which is why Pep looking for ball playing CB's now...and as for fullbacks....we were rumoured to have purchased Kev for Pep, why couldnt we have done the same with a LB? fi that was our only concern....only my opinion mate and not saying your opinion is wrong...cheers

There is an increased amount of flappiness on here, more so than in previous years!
Our business so far has been excellent (and cheap), and the bigger transfers will start happening very soon!

But in the mean time the needy aren't going to go away!!!

I am chilled mate....just having a discussion, which is a good thing...dont come on here to agree with everyone, 100% of the time! Good to get other views....I just feel with the backing/support we've had from our owners, Txiki should have done a better job over the last few years and we shouldnt still be relying so heavily on the players purchased "before" he was even here...some of these players are now getting slower/older and this showed last season which is why we had such a drop off. I dont worry about it but thats the opinion I have...but I do feel more confident with Pep here to give direction in transfer matters(if that makes sense?) cheers
