SO you seriously think that player that was benched by Jag and Cahill is better than best defender for United(who btw had best defensive record in PL) and arguably was englands best defender. Ignore potential because we are not getting him for peanuts but 50M. And not in 2 years or 5 years, but now.

I know we all hate rags and must say every player is crap there, but come on. suggesting something like that is not laughable. Stones hasnt proved anything yet to say he is best english defender, not even close. Suggesting that he can replace Otamendi is even crazier, hell Mangala was at one point hottest defender prospect in continent. Only thing there is that stupid 50m price tag that says he must be half decent, fuck everton and english tax for that btw.

If everton somehow get Koulibaly as replacement for less than we paid them I will cry a little inside.

But if we sign him of course I will support him like any City player, unlike many here attacking our players at every chance.

Agree, £50m should get you world class or at least close to it, especially when talking about defenders. Just because Stones is English he costs about £20m more, ludicrous really.

I'd have thought all parties, EFC, MCFC and Stones would want to get this done so they can move forward. EFC will want to get their business underway and players in place as much as we do.

Are we going 3 at the back then? Really hope Kompany is back. It will be so much easier to get the defence organised with Stones Kompany and Otamendi if Vinny is there. I think 3 at the back is what we're doing, and then maybe the option of full backs if the occasion merits it. 3 at the back would help us get KDB and Silva into the team. And when teams are really parking the bus good and proper then Stones comes out into midfield and makes an extra man. Good be a few teething problems though!

They were extremely proffesional in the Rodwell transfer. David Moyes came to the stadium and it was basically sorted out face to face.

Why? He can't report to training until Monday. We shouldn't spend more to speed up deals just to placate fans. I would be surprised if he didn't show up with Sterling and Hart ready to play next week.
