I would imagine if its as close as we think then maybe a breaking news agreement today and signing tomorrow? haven't our signings so far all been announced on a Friday??
They won't accept 50m the will want almost 60m in my opinion so it will drag on

I think he's due back at EFC on Monday or around then and City start jetting off everywhere next week.

Spoilers for this transfer

They'll be all this build up only for our first bid of £40 million to be rejected.

We'll then go back the week after with a £45 million bid and when that's rejected, we'll finally go back with around £50 million the week after that, which would be the price they asked for originally.

Doubt it will be as soon as that, but hopefully before we jet off to China.

any idea why our deals take so long ric? we have heard for quite a while now we wanted stones and he wanted to come so why do our deals seem to drag?

I'm hoping we're past all that, I'm hoping the fees have been agreed behind closed doors. It was only Liverpool with Sterling that we had to have our bids publicly aired. That says all you need to know about that club.

I'm hoping Everton are bit more dignified than that. They've certainly improved since the Lescott affair, which I think was mainly down to Moyes anyway.

You would certainly hope so.

Aren't they due to fly out to China on Friday of next week?
I was trying to find that date out, because that is probably a date focussing activities. In Bayern on Weds 20th, then play in China mon 25th so Friday sounds reasonable

From what I have heard, it is fly out Monday to Germany, come home Thursday, then fly out to China Friday.

No idea mate, but I imagine deals worth circa £50m are reasonably complex. Plus you've got to factor in the Euros, Everton getting a new manager etc. I'm sure the club are a bit calmer and more patient than some on here!

It seems we are being taking to the cleaners every time we go for player now and its not going to get any better. It's partly the inflated market but its also our own fault, we just didn't plan well for the future ending up with a bunch of older players that now need replacing. Other chairman know we're desperate to stay in the top tier and willing to pay way over the odds for a player. 50 mill to buy potential in Sterling, an English 22 year old CB who hardly set the world alight last season and 38 mill for a 29 year old Italian is just utter madness. 50 mill should at least get you a world class player which KDB clearly is.
Yeah. Just look at our last two big signings.

Nolito and Gundogan, £35m for the pair of Spain/German internationals.

Awful stuff.
