Yet even now the Daily Fail are stating the purchase price is £37m not €37m and that the fee could rise to £42m despite the fact that previously they had stated the purchase price was £31.2m its as though the press have to keep inflating the prices of our purchases to maintain the "moneybags City" tag it is now old and tiresome but with all the exciting young players being given to Pep to mould the future of City for the longer term should make this the most thrilling era ever in City's history

hi mate...Martin Blackburn reported that City making it clear its £37mil up front..sounds like we briefing him to make sure the correct fee is reported? Maybe to try and stop others making it up I guess?

#mcfc very clear that its £37million up front for Sane. Some add ons which might come into play but most of them won't.

On the other hand great to see the press being briefed by City and reporting the fee accurately. (I still think that may change over the coming weeks though).

In the ordinary world, everyone knows him as Nolito.

Bobby charlton approves

Looking at the Gundogan and Nolito announcments around 9am seems to be the favoured window to announce things.

It isn't €37m, it appears that City are the ones briefing £37m through Martin Blackburn.

Do clubs ever commend on transfer fees or other contract details?

All those numbers come from the media and I would recommend not to buy that as pure 'truth'.

Understandably, City is interested to state a fee at the lower end of the truth and Schalke as a seller has an opposite view.
At all means I expect neither side wants to reveal their strategy as the next transfer talk will come.
As long as I don't see the original contract I won't buy stated numbers as 'truth'.

Some posts on here said the add-ons would be quite low risk. Come on folks, how stupid do you think is the other side? Get a grip.
