I just posted in the guadiola thread that the message seemed to be drop yaya - I want him sold - I want a new midfielder. Drop hart - i want a new goalkeeper, drop managala - I want a new defender.

That is exactly what I think. He was sending a message to those players that they either seriously consider any offers which come their way or spend the rest of the season on the bench at best.

Gonna be interesting to see what happens in the market. No credible links to incoming players yet. And Pep clearly hinted that there could be more. At the same time, he said we need to trim our squad. As it's too big. Yet he said Nasri is training amazing and Yaya working hard etc....and just because players didn't feature today. Doesn't mean they won't feature in the future. Should be a busy 3 weeks ahead.
But it just makes you wonder if it's all planned, or if there are going to be last minute decisions on incoming or outgoing players.

If anyone feels Pep isn't calling the shots on transfers then the search for a new keeper tells it's own story, add to that the need for pace on the wings (Sterling, Nolito, Sane), ball playing centre half (Stones), possession and visionary midfielders who can unlock defences (KDB & Gundogen) and the top young players from South America. That's also without including players we've tried to land in the last year.

Pep has been very much involved in our transfer business over the last year to get where we are today and if that means the club supporting him to replace the current England number one then sobeit.

Yup, bet we looked at Nolito only because Pep asked for him. Even Sane, its not a coincidence that he praises him and we sign him.

On a side note, @Danamy seems like the club has briefed the papers on the Bravo deal. Seems a goer?

Agree entirely.
