Yaya Toure apologises

I among 9000 Blues were robbed on Wednesday night of a victory because 2 stubborn, and self centred characters putting their ego's before the interest of the club. In the absence of a recognised playmaker Pep left out a fully fit Yaya from the line up.
The inclusion of Yaya in and advanced role would have allowed the excellent Garcia to unlock the Rag defence.
I wish that Khaldoun would arrange a meeting between Pep and Yaya's agent, bang their heads together and get Yaya back as an option for us to complete his last season here.

Yup. Yaya's stamina and willingness to press, not to mention his agent's constant pro-city rhetoric, absolutely warrants his inclusion in our side. Criminal that Pep has left him out of our squad.

Nah mate, Khaldoon should just sack Pep and install Yaya as our new gaffer.

Yaya cannot do the pressing pep wants and we can't have him ambling around as usual ,we have moved on from him now

You wont see Yaya playing for us again. He could not play the system we currently do

Well to be fair, at the moment we don't seem to be able to play our system :(
Uh, whut?

Against ManU with a make-shift, backup squad, in a game we didn't particularly care about, yes, our system was in shambles.

Other than that, lately - except when Bravo was sent off and we were down to 10 against the best side in world football (prior to which we were the better side and probably deserved to go in up one at half time)- we've played Pep's system. Unfortunate that we're not scoring more often.

If you want to bring the Spurs game into consideration - then, yes, there too we were absolutely crushed. Because our pivot in the first half was entirely incapable of playing the position.

By lately, I was referencing our inability to find success in 6 games. While each game has specific factors that made it hard, it's my contention that our final third movement and passing has been poor since Celtics. That's the last game we played well in the final third. Spurs, Everton, Barca, Southhampton and United have all been poor in the final third.

If by finishing, yes I'd agree.

But we've played Pep's system and have created enough chances to have won each of those games (Barca 2nd half and the most recent derby versus ManU being the exception for obvious reasons).

In a nutshell, "shit happens."

We're going to thrash someone soon - and will likely win the league.

Spurs and Pool will be our biggest challenges - as both of these teams press, and are fit, and have enough talent going forward to cause damage.

Other than that, I'd favor us against EPL opposition - against Pool and Spurs I like our chances, but it's damn close.

Pool isn't in European competition and can focus on winning the league much more than we can - and Spurs have a lot of talent. Injuries could well decide the title.

Moreover, both Spurs and Pool have outstanding managers - for my money, Pep is the best manager in world football. But Pochettino and Klopp are no slouches - they're both world class.

Dimitri Seluk tells the Sunday Mirror he's called Pep and Txiki not to apologise, but to discuss Yaya's future, and has had no replies.
Seluk: "Pep is allowing his ego to make decisions that aren't in the best interests of Manchester City."
Seluk: "I know what his problem is. When Pep forced Yaya out of Barca I criticised. This is his revenge. It's personal, not professional."
Seluk: "Pep doesn't want to work with men. He wants to work with players who are very young because he can control them like children."
Seluk: "Pep smiles at you. He makes you believe he is your best friend - and then he betrays you."
Seluk: "Yaya should be made an ambassador when he retires. But the men who control the club don't want him to be remembered as a legend."

At least he is doing something productive.

Well the transfer window opens in a couple of months. He has to do something to keep his clients name in the press. Prepare for several more weeks of this I'm afraid.

I don't like to say it but it's typical African player, money money money. Shame on Yaya. He did some really great work with us and now he's just stealing a wage. I would make him play with the reserves every match.
Loyalty?? He has none.
