He certainly has shown up on many really big occasions and been the difference between winning and not, but let's not forget the many times he's not shown up. Just like our other star players.Say what you like about Yaya but he's shown time and time again he has the bottle to turn up when needed, unlike one or two of our supposed star players.
What matters ? Showing up and not winning or win singlehandedlyHe certainly has shown up on many really big occasions and been the difference between winning and not, but let's not forget the many times he's not shown up. Just like our other star players.
Pep got it wrong because not having Stones might have cost us. I would say he got it spot on. Resting key players and getting an away win
This would only happen if it would have been a red, had the ref seen it. It was a cheap shot, but would only ever be a yellow, so no chance the FA will look at it.FA charge for Puncheon????
That'll do nicely joint top

Fucking hell Doom and GloomWe're second.
Under the new rules it's a red. This would only happen if it would have been a red, had the ref seen it. It was a cheap shot, but would only ever be a yellow, so no chance the FA will look at it.
I see what you did there. This is a massive win. Factoring in the International break and the players missing, winning at Palace particularly after they equalises is huge.
I don't agree with them, but at this point I hope it doesn't get reviewed anyway - it wouldn't help us, but could help any of our rivals who play Palace in the next three games.Commentators were saying it should have been a straight red.

I'm not sure what point you're making, but I was just trying to give a more balanced view of Yaya and our other star players (Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero, I assume). They all sometimes fail to show up, and they all sometimes win us a game singe-handedly. Today was Yaya's day and I couldn't be happier for him, but there have been plenty of games in the last couple of years in which Yaya did nothing and/or was a liability. That's also true of our other stars - it's just the way it is, even with star players. What matters ? Showing up and not winning or win singlehandedly
