Tell me have you appreciated how he singlehandedly gave away chelsea's biggest chance of the first half, then the equaliser, then the second goal?


Nicolas Otamendi has just cost us 3 points, and he will continue to do so until we replace him.
 
Liability pure and simple. He may pull off a stunning sliding tackle every so often but for every one of them you get two mistakes.

I've held back on judgement because I thought there was a defender in there waiting to get out.....wow I was wrong. This guy is an absolute charlatan.

Not a problem. There was a solid 30 minute stretch where I thought he was phenomenal but you guys were right and I was clearly wrong. Too many major mistakes, too frequently and I'm not sure it's going to change.
 
he is a cabbage. Simply cannot defend in a system. A nightmare to partner. I've been saying it since he's signed. A selfish defender.

He needs to be shown the door with a big boot up the arse.

Mangala was terrible bud. We simply cannot buy capable defenders. Stones in fairness is going to be class. Look at the shit we've had through, Nastasic, Savic, Mangala, Otamendi I'm probably missing off more.. who were either absolutely shit or absolutely not suited to the premier league.

I'd get Tosin in there now. He'd make a similar amount of mistakes to Otamendi while he learns his trade, but at least he'll learn and has size, and pace. Otamendi is as slow as a mule carrying two mules.

Mangala isn't the Kompany type of the defender BUT assign him a player to man mark and he would never disappoint you. Mangala was a far better defender, he had strength, aerial advantage and was very athletic. Ota is just another Kolarov, they look scary but are actually wimps.

That's the issue with him.

He never sticks to his position and just runs out leaving the rest of the defenders to deal with it.
