Trump tweets, Lockheed Martin stock loses $1.2B in value in one day.

"Business-friendly," blackmailer in chief.

Trump is acting like he OWNS the U.S. govt and is dealing with suppliers to Trump Inc., and he is not even sworn in yet!

Prepare for the biggest cluster fûck ever seen.

Trump is not a politician, which seems to be why you love him so much. No, he is a man who used a tax loophole (using OTHER PEOPLES LOSSES IN HIS BUSINESSES) to make himself a billion dollars, and his only qualification for office is that he lied to more people and managed to cobble together less votes, but in more important Electoral College locations than she did.

If you lived in Britain, it would be the equivalent of Maggie on steroids, but without a brain leading the parade.

Climate deniers in charge of climate control...the guy is actually SUING the government dept he has been made the head of!
Someone who doesn't believe in public education, and is the largest donor to get rid of it, is the new Secretary of Education!
A Texas governor, who couldn't remember (on live TV)one of the three government departments he wanted to eradicate, and looked into the camera and said "Oops!"...is now Secretary of Energy (the one he couldn't remember!) and in charge of America's nuclear policy!
A Putin buddy, whose company (Exxon Mobil) is the most profitable company in the world, but who is currently not able to bring home billions of dollars due to Sanctions against Russia due to their actions in Ukraine, is now Secreatry of State...never held a political office, but was recently presented a medal by Putin as a "Friend of Russia" due to his oil background.

And the beat goes on...

His national security advisor is considered a whacko AT THE PENTAGON, and has retweeted links to alt right (post truth!) websites, one of which led to a shooting in Washington DC.

It is UN-FUCKING-BELIEVABLE what is going on, and the very people who elected this Bozo are the ones who are going to be the most adversely affected by this election. The working poor and those on welfare are about to see what Scrooge is all about, but maybe they will be happy that they are only reaping what they sowed?!

FWIW, I doubt any of his policies will have much effect on my life, except to maybe goose my stock portfolio, but based on the lies he told for the last 18 months, there are tens of millions of people who are about to be harmed in ways I cannot imagine, yet they voted for. I feel sorry for them...and you, if I'm honest.

I hope the snake oil tastes good, because you overpaid.

great post.

Probably who will be blamed is the fourth branch (bureaucracy) and the media, and universities.

Could it be because they are in large part responsible in the first place for the mess ?.

The f*cking bureaucracy fuels itself by making everything as difficult as possible thus requiring yet more of the f*ckers.

The media has either sat silent or worse colluded with big business and government while corruption and double dealing has become commonplace.

The Universities have become a place where education takes a poor second place to political correctness and entitlement, the breeding ground of "Generation Snowflake".

Its long past time that government departments learned that they are there to serve the public, the media exposed the wrongs evenhandedly, and Universities teach for the real world, and Trump could well be the kick up the arse these organisations need.

The next 8 years are going to be amazing.

That didn't take long.

Hewson, in a statement posted on Twitter, said she had had "a very good conversation" with Trump on Friday.

"I gave him my personal commitment to drive the cost down aggressively," she said in the statement.

It's almost as if Trump knows exactly what he's doing...

Trump tweets something stupid. A leader of a company says they'll do their best to control costs. Victory is claimed.

Some people are very gullible.

I'll re-phrase it for the hard of thinking.

Trump tweets something ridiculous. A leader of a company says something Trump wants to hear but without any detail to steady the share price. Victory is claimed.

Gullible fools get excited about Trump's victory.

It will work in one of a few ways. First off the unit price will be lowered. This will be when Trump claims his great success. What won't be mentioned is the small print.
There are numerous ways that the manufacturer will recoup the reduced price. A couple of examples are that the unit price will be for an aircraft with a reduced capability e.g. It won't be able to fire certain types of missiles. It will then cost the customer extra to get the capability he needs that used to be included in the unit price. Another possibility is that costs will be higher in supporting the aircraft. E.g. Spares and maintenance costs will be higher. One things for sure, the overall cost of ownership won't go down but Trump won't care about that. He'll have his headline about the unit price going down. That's Trumponomics.

At the very start of the Republic nomination campaign I saw a CNN interview with Trump. He was asked about comments he had made in his business career which appeared to contradict his political stance. His reply - I am a business man, i say whatever I need to get the deal.
Good job no other business leaders have cottoned on to this.

As a human, it's much easier to understand the world's complexity and solve all its problems with massive generalizations, which always seem to be directed at organizations of which one is not a part. As a politician, it's much easier to drive home a message when you do so too.

Beware the House Republicans!

Trump, in this pre-inauguration period, is sounding like he has got all his shit in one bag and is going to make American business march to the beat of his drum....or so he would have you believe!

What MOST people are forgetting is that America is NOT a parliamentary system (whereby the leader and their cabinet simply say what is going to happen, make it happen, people have to live with it for upto 6 years, and I find they didn't like it they elect the other guys) or (shocker!) the Monarchy Trump appears to be acting like it is.

No, it is a Republican Democracy, where power is split three ways, and King Donald is but the bully with the megaphone. First, he has to get his SCOTUS pick through Congress. That might actually be interesting to watch, because while Trump is a Democrat, he has vowed to put a Republican on the Court FOR LIFE, which he might not completely like. Then again, with his kind of money and newfound power, it is not like SCOTUS picks will ever cause him any concern!

Second, he has to deal with a Republican Congress, more specifically, a Republican HOUSE that ACTUALLY represents all those millions in the hinterlands that Trump lied to to get elected. THEY are REAL CONSERVATIVES, many of who, have real, serious Tea Party credentials...with the leader of their caucus the last man standing before Trump became the nominee. Do you think THAT GUY doesn't have a few bones to pick with the new Fibber in Chief?

Yes, there will certainly be issues upon which they both agree. Organized labor is going to feel it in the shorts! "Right to work" legislation, one of those American oxymoron type movements like the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts that lowered standards, which eviscerates union membership is number one on the business agenda and the Koch Brothers are approaching mutual climax at just the thought of all the states in which this legislation might get passed, even without a Federal drive to undermine unions.

However, the Tea Party has one overriding imperative....stopping spending our tax money and give it back to us while not raising the debt ceiling. Given even the shallowest measure of what Trump is proposing, this gets blown out of the water and into orbit! An arms race? Just UPDATING the nuclear Arsenal was paegfed at $1 TRILLION before he won the election. If he wants bigger and better, add a zero?? Want to give business and the wealthy the largest tax cut in history...even larger than the one that Bush II gave that almost bankrupted the nation while undertaking two wars...so far conservative estimates are talking in the TRILLIONS.

But, not to worry, Trump is going to fix that plan for two flying fortresses that have to stay aloft forever, not be affected by an airborne atomic explosion and EMP, and also be in communication with anyone in the world at all times, while evading enemy missiles, etc...by skimming a few million off the top to make him look like a bad ass!

Yeah, I think I've seen this story before. It will not end well for someone, though I doubt it will be Trump, who knows how to spin even the worst news to some Pyrrhic victory.

America...good luck to us all!

He's allegedly got a debt of nearly 250 million with Deutschbank. Can't see him helping when they go tits up next year.

The President-elect says he will dissolve the Trump Foundation, as investigators look into suspected "impropriety".

Get it done before he can get impeached for it.

As an aside. I think his daughter is the real power behind the throne.

She wouldn't be the first to trade in her political views for power and self wealth.
