Yep, but live in the new forest and know people close to the club so know quite well what happens there well beyond the media narrative that they will sell anything that moves. The fascination? This forum is a bit obsessed with the signing of a player I know we can't sign.

You live in a forest; forgive us for not taking you and your ITK claims seriously.

However, you are my new favourite poster if that's any consolation?

You squirrel whisperer.

No, he said that because of the contract length, whatever they are offered now will still be offered in three years time, so what motivation would they have to sell their most important player now rather than then?

I still find it bizarre the only topic on this Manchester City forum you feel the need to comment on is Virgil Van Dijk.

What do you get with squirrels........................nuts ??

Not that I'm saying that Eric isn't 100% bona fide though.

Lads taking the piss i reckon
I think if you ask our forest dwelling friend it's a sign that he's going to stay at Southampton for the rest of his natural life.

That's what I mean. If he's not coming, fair enough, that's football. However, why would you do something which might burn a bridge in the future. He might not want a January move, but if he was eyeing it up a later date l, would this go down well? A polite "thank you, but no thanks" behind the scenes is grand. Public knockbacks and two fingers, not so.

And on the other hand, if it is on, it's shitting on his current club. Something that wouldn't go down well on either side.

Regardless, I'm not arsed. I find it weirdly mildly amusing. However, it's not me who's sitting on the board talking about we like to do things the "right way".

At least we can frame this photo and hang it next to the Isco one.

Think you're reading too much into it, like the lucky lucky man fancy dress player spme will find it funny some not, probably no harm meant either way but it does perhaps show total a lack of self awareness and common sense.

Do you know what "secret santa" is? Someone in the Southampton squad obviously bought it to him as his gift.
