Yeah look at the scum spent half billion and sit in midtable

Has little to do with us and doesn't hide the fact our recruitment has been woeful highlighted by what we did last summer.

Perhaps our best recruitment would be to get the people responsible for establishing Spurs squad to come to us.

A younger faster squad with far more upside than our current squad who have comfortably beaten us the past three times and will make it four on the spin most likely this Saturday.

And cost way less than £100m.

The annoying part is that Everton are just like Leicester in that they raise there games for the big clubs and then will go back to being shit again next week. But that takes nothing away from the fact that we were absolutely dire again.

What I find hilarious is that people going on like West Ham was some master class. Once the penalty went in they downed tools Quicker than we did yesterday and it became a training match

Damo put this on twitter for different reasons but it's a good clip to use to explain how close we are and what we're doing wrong.

Our use of Bravo and passing side to side and back to the GK draws Everton out. Pause the video at 02:28 game time. When Clichy gets the ball we've used Everton's press to create a situation where they have seven players focused to one area of the pitch. Clichy chooses the wrong option and passes to Sterling, who has no 'out' ball. He doesn't have a single option, and we concede a throw. If, Clichy is thinking quick enough (the biggest problem we have with fullbacks) he can choose a little pass to KDB to run onto, a pass into Yaya or a pass to Zabba. If he chooses the KdB or Yaya option, pause the video again at 02:31 when Silva comes into Picture. Forget where Sterling is now, as he wouldn't be there unless Clichy had passed to him, but look how much space Silva is in and he has a 3 on 3 with Aguero and Sterling.

If Clichy makes that pass to Yaya, Yaya can play first time to Silva and we've completely turned Everton inside out. Instead, he takes the wrong touch, has to then go down the line to a player with no options and the move is over. In fairness to Clichy, the ball back to him from Yaya is poor and he needs a touch, but his touch is poor.

I could be wrong, but this is how I see Pep's vision of how he wants to play, breaking down at the crucial moment because of bad decision making or passing execution.

We're still shit in both boxes, that's a given, but we're not a million miles away with the build up. We created a fantastic situation there and destroyed it ourselves, and it happens multiple times per game.

We have bought kdb sterling stones and Gundogan we cant buy a full squad when we have players with 12 months left on there contracts who dont want to go or we just getting through this season. Regarding spurs they been given time without being in the spotlight piss easy there for a manager with no pressure.

Stop focusing on united or any other club.

Our dealings have been awful for both incoming and outgoing transfers for years now.

Moving forward we can't afford to give txiki any more money to throw away.

It's not just the money it's the time we are wasting buying players and finding out they aren't good enough when another season has come and gone before we try out a new cb etc.

The whole recruitment team needs a massive shake up.

Yesterday was 1 of my worst away games to date and I've been to plenty including the 8-1 against Boro. It was utter shit from when Sterling didn't get a pen our heads just dropped as if the players thought fuck it. A big overhaul needs to happen in the summer and I can't ******* wait till most of the players contracts run out. We need some youth, hunger and speed at the minute we're boring to watch. I never thought we were gunna score yesterday and I've not really felt like that for awhile.

But the future is still bright forget the title and just claw our way to securing 4th which will also be hard.

Pretty sure we bought KDB and Sterling the summer before last and unfortunately we probably won't see much of Gundy anymore but again with his history it was a big gamble.

That leaves us with Stones and it remains to be seen if he goes the same way as Mangala went.

Not sure what the spotlight has to do with how you perform in terms of making it easy etc.

With the turnover of managers at Spurs in the past they appear to have finally got there act together but at least we know their best players like Bale will be targeted by the big European Clubs.

Piss easy?
Mauricio Pochettino has done a simply outstanding job, he took over a team of ageing, highly paid stars, binned them and produced a wonderful young, vibrant, hungry team.

Respect to him.

They might be but they are ahead of us now

We should never have got into this position of having to rebuild a squad. That was the Football Directors job to ensure the squad never grew old.

I think Txiki is a massive asset to the club mind you, but the defensive transfers have been disastrous

Since our red cards we have stood off,see yesterday dave's booked for his first tackle whilst everton got away with several each

Exactly and the kid who scored the third got a way with murder said after 5 mins to my son that Id seen him in another game and he was a dirty sod He should have been booked for the persistent fouling and then for going into the crowd after he scored I don't think he got booked at all

Sorry but Tixixi time is up, his dealings have been simply appalling.

The money spent on our defence is criminal and the scary thing is that all positions in the defence still need replacing.

Some of his buys that flopped at City have since gone on to be good players so, maybe he wasn't all wrong

Well we have and many are to blame not just Txiki who no doubt has relied on people who are out of their depth and or have been taking the piss out of the club in the past 6 years and hopefully they have all been moved on or we don't deal with them anymore.

Defensive midfield has been a major disappointment as well as has our striking options.

Crazy that our main striker is still Kun.

We don't get enough goals from our attacking midfielders either who in the main are goal shy.

He spent south of 120 million on Stones, Mangala and Otimendi, says everything. If you put those 3 on the market today, what would you get back?....very little?

i think everton showed what we are missing from our team. youth and aggression. we need some younger players in our team to add some pace and give city fans players to get behind.
