Strawman alert.

That's the spirit. If you can't answer the question just say something stupid.

Luckily for you, I believe everyone deserves a second chance, so I'll ask you again. Do you disagree with me when I say that cancelling TPP and by association, TTIP, is a very good thing? (let's try to answer the question this time!)

I didn't mention TPP or TTIP in my post in the first place hence the strawman comment. I was simply commenting on your appreciation of a proven liar and fraud which fits in well with your track record of believing any old shite.

I don't pretend to know enough about TPP to make a judgement about it. The trade relationship of pacific rim countries is not high on my list of items of interest.
I have a negative view on TTIP which I believe wouldn't see the light of day anyway with or without Trump as too many within the EU were against it.

Surely they must love TPP? If they didn't then why haven't they been criticising Obama and previous administrations for pushing it through? Also where is the praise for Trump for cancelling it on day 1?

I don't know, maybe it's because there are other issues that are more important to praise and/or criticize a President about?

IVe no idea whether it will end up good or bad -- don't know enough about it nor what the repercussions are. What I do know is the blanket statement that trade agreements give over all governmental power to "the mega-corporations" is a laughable, conspiratorial overstatement.

Which is what I criticized.

China. "Slams" US statement on South China seas.

The utter **** isn't in the door three days and already he's causing big problems.

If you're going to get involved, try replying to the overall point of the post, rather than only the last paragraph.

As for whether TTIP would, or would not, have seen the light of day doesn't address my point that the corporate whore Obama, was the driving force along with Merkel behind the trade deal. A trade deal that would shift the balance of power so that corporations would have legal influence and in some cases control over future policies of nation states.

And to say you don't know enough about TTIP to comment is fair enough, but that hasn't prevented you from talking nonsense about many other topics that you clearly don't understand. All you need to know about TTIP is that it gives corporations the ability to sue governments for potential loss of future earnings due to a change in the law or policy enacted by the government.

Trade agreements don't give corporations power over governments. It is the legislation written into TPP and TTIP specifically that do this.

What are your thoughts on Taiwan?

It's China, always was always will be.

Because the anti communist west supported it against communist china doesn't change that. It was never a separate sovereign state. Always part of China. It's a political 20th century creation.

I don't see how we can see it any other way like it or not.
