Can’t see him going back to Villa now. Fee will get agreed today or tomorrow and he’ll come straight to Manchester.
Yeah there's loads of Premier Inn's in the city centre him and his girlfriend can stay at in while this is being sorted

Well the Mail are hurting like fuck about this proposed signing, you have to scroll down for 30 secs then you'll find it, about 40 stories down. The absolute bitter twats

I know a lot of folks here want to cling onto some kind of rivalry between our clubs, as indicative of the ''likes'' here. United fans I know from the 80's do not care. There is no rivalry. It's a fiber glass rivalry, it's allowed to pilfer and foment on match days, but for the rest of the year Manchester has become a hub of cosmopolitan globalism. Anyone that experienced any kind of rivalry are refugees in different counties now. When I hear our fans talk about ''we''. We are not part of our clubs. That was proven during the pandemic when both of our clubs had rocketed revenues and net gains. It doesn't matter anymore. Of course I appreciate the novelty of us vs them. It doesn't work like that anymore. Football has become pro-wrestling. I hold no grudge against my neighbor. Red or Sky Blue. I'll probably sign off with this post. When we're being told to obey by the state, and to watch our teles with our sky subscriptions, I can't help but feel like our ''rivalry'' is being manipulated to distract us from the real problems.
I recall back in the mid 80s going to Bradford for a game and Bradford getting all giddy that this was a Lancashire/Yorkshire derby, never quite got that. However, it really doesn't matter to them it was. So you know a bunch of people that follow United from the 80s that don't see there as being a rivalry, OK that's nice.

To be honest I agree with you, in terms of rivalry. City's goals have changed and what United do, really doesn't matter a great deal any more. As for football having changed, to some extent I would agree, however are you saying that the same Edwards family that made their fortune selling condemned meat to be fed to school children and made secret cash payments to council and company staff to win contracts for their business. Made secret payments to a special fund for inducements to sign footballers throughout the 1960s and 1970 was closer to the people, in some way?

The bottom line is there probably hasn't really been an "us" in football for fans and clubs since the game turned professional. Coming back to Yorkshire, does that mean we should all go off and support Sheffield FC?

Seems as if Vile-a ( I really don’t like them and their gobby fans) are accepting the bid. But I hope this isn’t the end for Bernardo.

So who briefed sky on the bid then Villa or us ?
It’s funny because sky’s headline reads “Man City table £100m bid for Grealish” yet when you read further down the page it goes on to say “Much depends now on whether City are prepared to meet Villa's valuation of the England international - expected to be around £100m” so we’ve not put a £100m bid in?
Just such bad reporting it’s laughable.
So what that tells me there is that they don’t actually have a clue other than they know we’re interested, probably know a bid has gone in and let’s just put the top figure in as a headline and because it’s City we’ll just put the maximum one on because well we’re ruining football right.
Oh and FFP.
