14 | Nico Gonzalez - 2025/26

If that’s the way you see him NOW, yeah. For me he’s playing the same as when be arrived.

No it’s not. Obviously Rodri is another level but I personally don’t see Gonzalez as the future guy. He is solid and does his job but feel there is/ will be better options out there. He turns extremely slow and his passing range ain’t it

People Said all that about Rodri even me I learned to observe more now and don’t you think if he wasn’t improving he wouldn’t be starting because pep knows what a 6 needs! Yep you have a right to your own individual opinion, mine is your wrong..

He's a really good player with a high ceiling. Take no notice of the nay sayers.

I loved his reply to the reporter " I don't follow or listen to the news and I don't know what you guys are talking about "
That was beautiful. I cracked up when he said it. And he said it with zero malice too. Lol

I like almost everything about him. He is fantastic on the early press. His passing is intelligent. And he protects the ball well with his body. Organizes his team well, and shows for the ball.

The only annoying part is that 90% of the time when he loses the ball, he is being fouled but not getting the call.

I think many here are suffering from the 'Fernandihno syndrome.' This is when a new player comes in and plays the position of a highly loved player, and fans want the player to do exactly what the favorite guy does...

It happened to Rodri himself when he replaced Fernandihno. I mean,Kovacic was by far out best midfielder last season, and half the fans wanted him gone coz he was no Rodri. Gonzalez is simply another victim of it.

He is, like Kovacic was whan healthy last season, a fantastic Central Mid.

Looked like he was trod on start of second half. Hopefully not metatarsal

Yeah that's what I thought, hopefully just bruised but a bit concerning that it wasn't an injury he could run off. I do fear we could be looking at something fractured.

I know Kovacic hasn't played for ages, but the drop-off in performance entirely tied in to Gonzalez going off.

He played on for a while so hopefully not that serious. Could be similar to Khusanov’s injury though

Really good performance until he was forced off. Its clicking. Injury looked like an impact thing to me, let's hope that is the case as the last thing he needs right now with him seeing good game time is a spell on the injury table.

Obviously hope his injury is very minor. Was it that thug Partey? Arsenal and ex-Arsenal players love to injure our boys.

He is playing with such intelligence.
I think it was. Partey got the ball first, tbf, but the follow-through caught him straight on top of his foot.

Great game by him, again, nonetheless.
