The toxic media briefings from the Rags against City stopped as soon as Ratcliffe came in. My gut feeling is that he wants to attract Middle East money for the circus tent project. Anti-Arab sentiment is not a good way to do that.

I think it all started to change when Omar Berrada took over as CEO.
The rag hierarchy must be convinced of City's innocence, or they'd never have employed Berrada, it'd be like employing a walking time bomb.
Which also ties in with scruffy Jim declaring City innocent and the rags keeping in with the Arabs.
