I'm not saying it's so bad, the loan system can be beneficial now and again, but the fact is that a lot of young players sent out on loan either don't want to come back to the club who's loaned them out, or come back to that club and are quickly moved on again, usually on another loan ... they end up never settling anywhere ..... City have loaned out loads of players in years gone by, and most of them have either vanished into the football wilderness, or have had to settle for lower league, or non league clubs ....... luckily for Morgan Rogers, Villa saw his worth at Middlesboro and put in an 8m bid for him, and look what a player they've got now !!!

I'm not against loans, i just don't see why City couldn't have given him chances in their own excellent academy sides ( instead of loaning him out), where they could have nurtured him, and helped him progress into their first team squad .... if City liked what they saw of him at West Brom enough to bring him here in the first place, as appears to be the case, THEY MUST have already been aware of the potential he had, whether the player himself doubted his own abilities at that point or not !!!

But anyway, it's time to move on from this now ....

After a stunning 4-4 home draw against a decent Bournmouth side and outplaying the Champions elect, United go into the New year full of Christmas cheer.
On the edge of the Title race, despite a keeper with one arm, a defence which has yet to concede 5, or keep a clean sheet there is room for optimism, or improvement.
Up front they may add a Striker, although it seems they prefer to play without one, at least for the last 5 years.
The Coach cancelled Europe so he could spend more time on the training pitch, and the new owner happy with his multiple redundancies, has gone back to Ineos, to liquidise a few more companies.

In all likelihood they will finish between 7th and 12th
