I am totally with you on the confusion front! The reality is that no one knows at this moment the nature of Chelsea's potential breaches, or indeed how a seemingly erratic body such as the PL will deal with things.

Chelsea's current ownership have reported irregularities found during the purchase process. That's not the same as admitting to breaking the rules.

Seems unlikely that forensic audits are currently undertaken, doesn't it?

I don't think any of the executive staff who might conceivably have been aware of such things are at the club any more.

Personally I don't think it's always the answer to go shopping. We've done plenty of that of late. Nkunku being out represents a chance for other players to step up.

Thanks mate. Yes, we've fallen far and quickly. The sequence of events that started with that lunatic Putin invading Ukraine has certainly created a domino effect at Chelsea the likes of which we've never seen. However, Chelsea haven't been a truly top team for circa 5 years imo. Yes, we won...

He's a talented lad. But yes, that sort of injury has to be a concern. I can only assume that Newcastle medical team think he's rehabilitated well.

They're both looking good, but for it's got to be Jackson. Nkunku took a knock vs Dortmund, and we're waiting to see whether it's a problem, as he did previously suffer a knee injury. Jackson plays with no fear like he's down the park. That would be my pick.

I totally understood your point, and certainly didn't see it as a dig but rather a perspective that all is well. I still love Kova, even though he did obviously down tools a bit last season - no doubt due to knowing he was off to City. Same for Havertz.

I assume you're referring to the moaning from Chelsea fans? I agree with you regarding Mount's form, or maybe even his level. In my family we've always seen Mason as a capable and efficient player, but also felt that he wasn't going to push on much more and had been playing at pretty much his...

Yeah, definitely excited. As @mrbelfry said, it's going to be fascinating to see how we get on. I am of course aware that there will almost certainly be some problems. However, for me personally I just want to see some progression, unity and enjoyment in the players. Too often last season...

My understanding of the main reason he left at that time was that he fell out with Conte in a big way. I don't think he was in any way 'shot' at that point. He'd just bagged 20 Prem goals and helped us win the league title. On his return to Atleti he was credited by Simeone as a key ingredient...

I'm certainly no expert and stand to be corrected, but my limited understanding is that the charges City face cover a fairly broad range, such as provision of financial information, manager and player remuneration, UEFA financial regs, P&S, assistance to Prem investigation. If you're confident...

I didn't want to appear to be ignoring your question, so am replying. However, as a casual observer I must say that I can't answer with any degree of expertise. My instinct is that trying to justify City's position based upon a comparison with Chelsea's isn't going to be very productive. I...

I don't have a problem with it tbh. Look at the attendances at these pre-season games - pretty impressive. American culture gravitates to trophies, medals etc. for pretty much everything, so all good! Of course it doesn't mean anything. It was nothing more than a good pre-season run-out for all...
