Jackson certainly looks an exciting player from the YouTube scouting I have done. Chelsea this season feel like a newly promoted team with some exciting players that you're interested to watch just to see how they do. At the very least it's a fascinating experiment they are attempting

Having gone back over some old articles and extrapolated the numbers I think Chelsea will fail 22/23 PL P&S and 23/24. Can’t see how they can’t fail 22/23. I reckon they left Mason Mount to 2023/24 to at least give them a chance of hitting 23/24

Maybe I have imagined it, but I thought Boehly had been given a one-off moratorium or FFP and P&S for 22/23?

Anyway back to the football.
I think Chelsea have done well this window so far.The Chelsea fans on here must be excited for the season to start .
Been wrong before though.

Yeah, definitely excited. As @mrbelfry said, it's going to be fascinating to see how we get on.

I am of course aware that there will almost certainly be some problems.

However, for me personally I just want to see some progression, unity and enjoyment in the players.

Too often last season we had to see glum 'I don't really want to be here' faces. I'm thinking of you, Mount and Havertz.

The Mount transfer I just did not get the moaning.Could be wrong but the last couple of seasons his form went backwards at an alarming rate.

I assume you're referring to the moaning from Chelsea fans?

I agree with you regarding Mount's form, or maybe even his level. In my family we've always seen Mason as a capable and efficient player, but also felt that he wasn't going to push on much more and had been playing at pretty much his top level for us in the last few seasons (barring last season of course).

The big thing for most Chelsea fans, I think, is that Mount always promoted himself as 'proper Chels', and he would say so on pretty much every occasion he could.

Yet as soon as shit got a bit real last season, he obviously decided he'd rather be at Utd. So, for me I can't now even stand to see his face with that smarmy little 'butter wouldn't melt' smile, because he was so false to us.

Imagine if Phil Foden did the same to you guys.

However, in the final analysis we got some great money for the snake, so all good :)

I was not having a dig about the Chelsea fans moaning but the way I see him as a vastly overrated player.
The money you got from the rags I thought was a great piece of business.

But no-one accuses Real Madrid of circumventing FFP when they received 70 million from us for Morata. Or Inter receiving 97 million from us for Lukaku. That's just bad spending on our part but god forbid we get a decent fee for a player and it's tin foil hats everywhere :)
Everyone’s at it. Rest assured if one club is doing it, a raft of them are.

I totally understood your point, and certainly didn't see it as a dig but rather a perspective that all is well.

I still love Kova, even though he did obviously down tools a bit last season - no doubt due to knowing he was off to City. Same for Havertz.
