    Media bias against City

"Very....Little....Contact" What the actual fucking fuck! That is absolutely appalling, unbelievably partisan, and sickeningly delivered with a knowing smirk.

    Everton Post Match Thread

Well, if there's any consolation at all, Everyon surely can't hold out against us for another 90 minutes. Aguero to score a hat trick of penalties in the semi second leg!

    Best/worst cup game?

My best Cup Game was my first ever game: the 6-0 thrashing of Norwich City at Maine Road in 1981 (so just about 35 years ago) The worst? scum away in 1996, when we were robbed by a conning referee who awarded a penalty that even the rags weren't appealing for!

    Flat track bullies.

Wtf ? Did I dream it or did we not stuff the reigning champions already this season? They may be shite this year, but they were almost every pundits' tip for the title this year at the start of the season and we won easily.

    Did Stoke beat us, then?

Chinese Consortium invests $400m in CFG

Clearly the major reason for this is the links it could create and the opportunity for both sides to benefit from the expertise each other has (China benefits from City's expertise in developing a football brand, City benefit from China's expertise in growing a business in their home market)...

Climate Change is here and man made

Sorry, but your first point is still wrong. you start off by saying: "you're comment "that the data only shows surface temperature" was wrong." But it's not; the data does only show surface temperatures. What data are the satellites measuring? Sea Surface Temperatures. It may be measured from...

Climate Change is here and man made

I'm surely will have seen the data, but you presumably chose to ignore it or misinterpret it. The current temperature trend is anything but natural and looks nothing like any recent trend. And your last argument is rather strange; it's hardly something to be arrogant about.

Climate Change is here and man made

Just to illustrate the first point about extreme weather events, here is a chart that shows the ratio of the "record highs" and the "record lows" recorded across the USA, by decade. It shows a substantial increase in the number of times a new high temperature is recorded, in comparison to the...

Climate Change is here and man made

You've missed two fundamental points to the whole climate change debate: Yes, extreme events have always happened, floods, storms, heat-waves, etc. But the frequency is increasing, and the likelihood of an extreme weather event is becoming higher. So one event on its own does indeed mean...

Climate Change is here and man made

This makes no sense. I make a comment that the data only shows surface temperature, and you say "no they don't, they show land surface temperature and sea surface temperature".... er, both surface temperatures! And then provide another graph showing atmospheric temperature. As to your question...

    Norwich v City 9th Jan?

Hope it's a Saturday 3pm KO, as I'm in Cambridge the night before, and should be able to divert home via Norwich, although 6 hour drive home up the A1 afterwards won't be a lot of fun... That assumes I can get a ticket, of course. Anyone any thoughts about how likely tickets are to go on...

Climate Change is here and man made

It's interesting, but doesn't really say anything new. The most important aspect of this is that all the data sets are surface temperature, which accounts for a very tiny proportion of the planet's heat sink. Even then, the article shows that the same data could be interpreted in many different...

Climate Change is here and man made

Spoilsport! I've got a good hundred more graphs and charts, a good dozen arguments that haven't been touched on, and loads and loads of past experience debating this with people. I haven't even asked any of the climate change deniers if they also deny evolution by natural selection yet...

Climate Change is here and man made

Well, I could understand your argument if that were actually true. The last 18 years, means no warming since 1998, is that what you are saying? There is an overwhelming mass of data to say that this simply is not the case. For example, the graph below shows the surface and lower atmosphere...

    Media bias against City

Why would the De Bruyne fee be listed as €75-80m? It's €75m, and so the same as the two players below. If the list is about including all the possible add-ons or listing a range, then martial is €75m or €48-75m.

    Media bias against City

I was fannying about on Wikipedia this morning, and stupidly followed a link to the list of the most expensive football transfers, and was amazed (not) to see that the City players making the list are quoted with all the add-ons, while the rag martial is not... The fee shown for De Bruyne is...
