True, but there wasn't even a hint of us going to the table etc. Wonder if the player/agent gets a say in the initial buy back going in. Lots i don't know just that's the one i don't see a solid reasoning for at the time over the others.

Think the only one in hindsight ive no idea 'why they didnt' was the Lavia buyback in Kalvins 2nd season. The rest I can pretty much see the reason and call. That one is still baffling.

Sterling 6 Marhez 7 in the league first season here and both had over 100 prem games under there belt as well. Comparing players with no seasons under PL/pep to those who were 6-7 years into the squad, system etc is just daft. 99% are always gonna look worse. (1% being Haaland etc)
