    Real Madrid (A) - Tues 9th April, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

Expect Pep to go as strong as possible. Can leave rotation until Luton at home on Saturday. Likes of Rodri, KDB, Foden, Grealish, Bernardo, Stones and Haaland HAVE to start IMO. Can’t see Pep taking too many risks in this one unless injury/illness forces his hand.

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

    Pathetic comment yet again.

    Real Madrid (A) - Tues 9th April, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

Given it’s going to be no more than 12-14C this evening in Madrid we definitely don’t need air con.

Crystal Palace PL (A) | Man of the Match

No, they think he was the best player in the team. It’s not that difficult.

He does. And he did yesterday. Keep up.

Why do votes for a player who had an excellent match bother you so much?

    Real Madrid (A) - Tues 9th April, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

Not really. This time last year he was starting every game. He’s still getting back to full fitness so a couple of 90 mins will have done him good this week. Certainly wouldn’t want Doku starting in place of Jack, we will need Jack’s workrate and defensive capabilities.

    Real Madrid (A) - Tues 9th April, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

Anyone omitting Jack is mad. It would be like fielding a starting XI without Rodri he’s that critical to games like this. Have to build the team around: Jack Rodri Phil Kev Bernardo …For me anyway. Akanji was superb today. Think we will see Eddie back in for this as well.

    Crystal Palace (A) - Sat 6th April, 12:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

I don’t disagree, he needs to start midweek. Just expressing my annoyance that Phil was overplayed by Southgate which means rest for him now is imperative. Hopefully we won’t need him second half and he’ll be fresh for Real.

    Crystal Palace (A) - Sat 6th April, 12:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Kev to start and Phil benched apparently. I know Phil has played a lot lately (thanks TwatGate) but nervous at the thought of in-form players being benched.

City Treble documentary | Club sell rights to Netflix for seven figure sum | To be aired in April (p5)

Think a lot of people are forgetting it’s a City Studios production that was ready to be released back in August. They sold it to Netflix to get a bigger reach but Netflix didn’t do anything to it. Not sure why it took so long to release though. In that respect it was only ever going to look...

    Crystal Palace (A) - Sat 6th April, 12:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

The same Richard Keys who digs out Jack at every opportunity (see last summer’s Treble parade). Nothing like projecting his many deficiencies onto someone far more talented and popular than he is. Richard Keys is a ****.

    Crystal Palace (A) - Sat 6th April, 12:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Palace away at 12.30 is always a potential banana skin, and we can’t be dropping points. So it means we have to start off strong - don’t want to be starting any must-wins without Rodri and Grealish from now on as their presence is pivotal. Phil obviously needs to play. Would add in Gvardiol...

    Aston Villa (H) - Wed 3rd April, 20:15 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Why should Grealish hold down the left so Doku can roam around?

    Aston Villa (H) - Wed 3rd April, 20:15 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

The booing doesn’t damage his confidence, quite the opposite in fact…which you’d know if you’d watched any number of interviews with him where he talks about it. He’s been gone from Villa nearly 3 years FFS.

    Adverts that drive you mad

The new Andrex ad. If you’ve not seen it, make sure you’re not eating or have just eaten. And press the mute button. Apparently it was launched in conjunction with Bowel Cancer UK. There is nothing about bowel cancer awareness in it. Another example of crass, needlessly explicit, revolting...

    Aston Villa (H) - Wed 3rd April, 20:15 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Going by who I think is available: Ortega Akanji Lewis Dias Gvardiol Rodri Kovacic Foden Bernardo Grealish Haaland Think Kev needs a rest to get his best form back. Things tend to go well when Grealish and Haaland start together. Gvardiol and Kova have played themselves into the line up...

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

This. People say “oh well Pep clearly sees stuff in training we don’t” but even taking that into account, it makes NO SENSE why he’s never played centrally. His qualities aren’t suited to being stuck on the left byline. He ends up being the sacrificial cog for the team to draw in defenders but...

Arsenal (H) - Post Game Thread

Some fucking stupid and entitled takes on this thread, such as: Worst game of the season (Villa away anyone?) Haaland needs selling Kev needs selling We have “no creative players” What drugs are some of you on? We’ve been decimated by injuries to key players this season, had a poor summer...

    Arsenal (H) - Sun 31st Mar, 16:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

100% on that, his contributions in December kept our head above water points-wise. Then he had that awful burglary, then illness and injury wiped him out ever since. Apart from brief spells against Copenhagen and Luton and look how smooth we looked when he was on the pitch.
