    Feyenoord (H) - Tues 26th Nov, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

This is the crucial thing for me. So many games recently where we go one up and then play really well for 15 mins but don't put another one in. Same sort of happened against Spurs - if any of those chances go in before their opening goal it becomes a different game.

We got the first goal against Brighton and Sporting.

Heaviest home defeat you've witnessed either at Maine Rd or the Etihad

Only game I've ever left early out of choice. 10 years old, piss wet through, the guy who made me a City fan scoring against us. Just turned to my mum and pulled on her sleeve. She got the message and we left on 70 mins.

    20 | Bernardo Silva - 2024/25

Yeah, has absolutely been run into the ground over the years. The one thing he's had above all else is stamina but that's gone now. Gets outpaced and outrun pretty frequently by opposition midfielders and it's been this way for a while.

    Feyenoord (H) - Tues 26th Nov, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

Dias and Doku back is massive. Dias especially. Anfield XI Ederson Dias, Akanji, Gvardiol Walker, De Bruyne, Nunes, Ake Foden, Haaland, Doku Sit deep and counter.

    Your favourite City crisis?

True. I did mean on the pitch as a team, as opposed to the boardroom stuff (which I appreciate has bigger implications but tried to keep my post focused on things on the pitch).

    Pep Guardiola - 2024/25

I think he does know there's a problem with the set-up but that the problem is being exacerbated by unprecedented bad luck with injuries.

    Your favourite City crisis?

My favourite one to look back on is the 06/07 goal forcefield that was erected on January 2nd and didn't come down until August. If only because it is truly unique in our history, but mostly because that was the last proper crisis we ever had. A truly dismal team that was about to be broken up...

    Liverpool's 22/23 season

Think we need to start looking at Liverpool's 22/23 season as a potential reference point for City's 24/25 season, just in case things don't turn around. They finished the 21/22 season having won the League Cup and FA Cup double. They played every game it was possible for them to play, losing...

    82 | Rico Lewis - 2024/25

Think he's good. Doesn't have to be as good as everyone else to hold down a place in the squad. Think he's at risk of going Iheanacho's way, though, in the sense that Iheanacho never really nailed down a position and wasn't as strong as he could be. By the time Pep came in he was a decent...

    Pep Guardiola - 2024/25

Yup. Dias, Rodri, and Kev are our leaders. All missing at the moment.

Liam Delap signs new contract until 2026

Would at least like to give him until the end of the season at Ipswich before deciding to bring him back.

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2024/25

Think this is what we missed most against Spurs - someone who can just win the fucking ball in the middle. Lost count of how many 50/50s were suddenly 70/30s because Gundogan and Lewis were the closest lads in a blue shirt. Bet the Spurs lads couldn't believe their luck. Nunes might not be as...

    Feyenoord (H) - Tues 26th Nov, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

The closer this game gets the more I think we just need to forget about Gundogan and Bernardo in the middle for the rest of the season. Nunes is alright on the ball and works hard - it's only fair he gets a run after the absolute shambles of the last few weeks. The same goes for O'Reilly as...

    The Squad planning thread

But again, at the time we sold them all, it was the right decision. And if we'd kept them all, what would they have contributed? Who would they have replaced in our squad? The easiest one is Palmer who would probably be here instead of Doku, so I can give you that. We sold Pedro Porro in 2022...

    The Squad planning thread

So we should have just hoarded Porro, Palmer, Lavia, and Rogers? At least come back with some substance mate.

Time to stand up and be counted…..

Oh no. We won't win five titles in a row. Gutting.

    The Squad planning thread

Lmao. There's so much pathetic revisionism here it's untrue. Pedro Porro hasn't been contracted to City for almost three years and has been utterly ordinary for Spurs throughout his time there. At the time of Porro's sale to Sporting we had Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo as our RB options. Nobody...
