    My old PC was the same before my PSU gave up. Also, PC cases are designed to improve airflow (if the fans are positioned correcly) so i'd put the side back on if you're worried about overheating.

    Laptop , wifi , tv advice...

    I use homeplugs for my PS3 cause the wireless is crappy and they're brilliant. Bit of a pain when they decide to throw a wobbler and you have to re-sync them but they do this rarely so nothing to worry about.
