    Discussion: Manuel Pellegrini 2015/16

I'm a Pellegrini fan. He's a great coach. But I'm not sure anyone performs as well on their job when they know they're getting sacked 6 months from now. I would definitely start thinking about my future, prepare less for every match, study less the opposition.. maybe I'm just a mediocre...

    Discussion: Manuel Pellegrini 2015/16

I wonder what effect Peps words will have on Pellegrini and the team. It's pretty obvious Guardiola will be the man in charge after the summer. There probably will be less motivation from the manager and the players; that's what I don't like about these so obvious manager changes. It's better to...

    Discussion: Manuel Pellegrini 2015/16

All thanks to you, Manuel. Hope he never leaves us. We played some really beautiful football tonight without Aguero, Silva and KDB on the bench. Really looked like a team that means business.

Sevilla v City post match thread

Brilliant performance, best game of the season from City, without Silva and Aguero and KDB coming on from the bench. Chapeau to Manuel. MOTM: Sterling. Brilliant stuff from Fernandinho, Navas, Fernando and Yaya.

City Vs Seville Champions League Post Match Thread

Thought City was pretty bad tonight, but without our backbone - Aguero, Silva, Kompany - it was to be expected. I'm not sure the 4 4 2 is to blame - if Pellegrini had played a 4 5 1 with Sterling open wide and KDB at the middle, I'm not sure if much would have changed. Sterling's space up front...

    Vidal

He'd be huge for City after Lampard leaves. He's going to finish his fourth year at Juventus and it looks it might be his time in the summer for a big move. Fernandinho/Yaya/Vidal would be a crazy midfield. Incredible assist for Tevez today against Inter, one of the best of the season.

    Manuel Pellegrini (cont)

Kind of intense discussion on this thread. I agree that there cant be a better time to give a young lad some playtime than when you're winning 3-0 against Crystal Palace and he's your only forward. I've followed Pellegrini for a long time and he's never been the type of coach that gives that...

Better stuff from Navas in the last 10, Dzeko needs to start putting those in

Nice shot from Milner, what a good player Gervinho is. Navas is going to a have a tough time - he needs Nasri to take control of the ball and put through balls for him

    Manuel Pellegrini

Extremely proud to be a chilean. So happy for what Pellegrini accomplished this season. I still remember many Man City fans were saying he had won fuck all in Europe when he was hired.. he shut alot of mouths! Let's hope he picks the right reinforcements and City can try going for Champions...

Would you swap Fernandinho/Yaya for Vidal?

Schweinsteiger is a world class CM as well, I'm under the impression he hasn't been playing regularly at Bayern though. Not sure if he's injured or not. But he's more of a deep lying playmaker than a DM like Vidal. I'm sure he doesn't recover nearly as many balls.

Would you swap Fernandinho/Yaya for Vidal?

Difficult question. I think Vidal is more complete than Yaya and Fernandinho. He really does everything well and is very versatile. He takes PK magnificently, he can header, he can tackle, he has passing, he runs like mad during the 90 minutes of a match, he scores. Against Real Madrid in CL he...

Would you swap Fernandinho/Yaya for Vidal?

Good video, but it doesn't show his tackling skills. I think he's the best slide tackler in the world. It is very impressive how many balls he recovers in the midfield.

Would you swap Fernandinho/Yaya for Vidal?

I'm chilean and watch alot of Juve because of Vidal, big fan of him. I'm also a fan of Colo Colo, the club at which he started in Chile, so I've watched him for the last 8 years of so. I think if you swapped him for Yaya it would be a bad choice. They are different players - Yaya is a deeplying...

Who would you like us to sign next?

Being chilean, I think several chilean players would do great at City: Arturo Vidal from Juventus; Alexis Sánchez from Barcelona; Gary Medel from Cardiff and Claudio Bravo, Real Sociedads keeper. He plays great with his feet, grabs tons of crosses and has very good reflexes.

    Pellegrini Thread

Maybe his lack of silverware in Europe is because he's coached mainly shit teams, like Villareal and Málaga, that are more worried of not going to second division. When given a chance with Real Madrid, even though he did an incredible record breaking league, he lost the title to the best...

So I've heard. After the way you won your last premier, I know what you mean. Dont worry, I'm prepared, enjoying the ride as you say :)

FA Cup - Blackburn post match thread

Well, I'll admit I've only started following City this season. I'm chilean and a big fan of Pellegrini so decided in August that I wanted to see as much as possible of his team. I think I've watched around 80% of the matches this season including all competitions. So far I haven't been...

City v Palace Post Match Thread

Very important saves from Hart, thought Fernandinho had a great match till he was taken off. Without Yaya he had more freedom to attack and several of City's best chances came from him. His level is very impressive, I hope he gets a chance to go to the WC. Good passing, good intercepting...

Great use of the outside of his foot by Negredo. He has great control of the ball with it. Now he opened the ball really well for Navas, the other match he put that amazing cross for Milner.
