Match Thread | Liverpool vs Man City (13/04/14)

Can someone tell me why Jovetic isn't on the bench? Both he and Aguero could make a difference.

    Yaya - Defensive Midfield??

Based on what I've seen he's your typical box-to-box midfielder although he does slack off on occasions and just sits deep. It seemed that today he couldn't be arsed doing much running so he let Milner do more of the dictating but Jimmy doesn't have the vision, speed and strength to make forward...

Norwich Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

My god it's like the end of the world for some of the posters here. It's normal that we have a blip here and then and I don't think the players have gotten over the Chelsea loss based on the performance but based on what we've seen this season gives plenty of evidence that we will bounce back...

Norwich v City Pre Match Thread

Not meaning to sound cocky and arrogant but I really feel for Norwich City. The Chelsea loss would've put fire in our players' bellies and with a few adjustments from Pellers to compensate for Aguero's and Fern's absence, I think we'll run riot and put more than a few in the back of the net...

    Stevan Jovetic (continued)

The only positive aspect of the game was him. He has such huge potential and showed some great skills and integrity today when he came on. I can't wait until he reaches full match fitness and I think he'll be the one to save us for when we struggle in any of our matches coming up without Aguero.

    Fernandinho (continued)

And this is the reason why Dinho has been the key to the success of 442 this season. Yaya doesn't have the agility and fitness that Dinho has which is imperative for playing this kind of formation with inferior numbers in the middle. Playing 442 without him against a good side is like suicide.

City v Chelsea Post Match Thread

Re: We had to Lose Sometime Not really bothered by the loss. You could clearly see we lacked mobility in the midfield which played into chelski's hands. If fernandinho played this game would've panned out differently plus we missed a few sitters today. When MDM got the ball he'd stop and look...

    Melbourne City FC Thread

Re: MCFC buy Melbourne Heart FC (merged) As a passionate City fan from Melbourne I'm very pissed off with this. Why did they choose to buy a club in fkn Melbourne out of all places? This place is full of stubborn idiots and dirty muzzas and doesn't deserve any affiliation with this great club...

city vs West Ham united. Pre match discussion thread

I'm not worried about WHU. They're worse than Palace atm so if they decide to park a double-decker bus, good luck to them because it prob won't work against us.

    Javi Garcia (continued)

Re: Javi Garcia We're not a diving club. He can go to the rags for that.

It's just about as different as the british and aussies

    Booing our heroes

Booing our players is really unnecessary unless they disrespect our club or fans. It's easy to get frustrated with some players and their poor attitude that they bring to the table but I'd never boo them unless they give me a valid reason to. I can understand the frustration with Dzeko but he...

Swans v Man City Pre Match Thread 1/1/14

Difficult game but very winnable. Good news is that the Swans aren't the type to park the bus but as we've seen at Liberty in the past, they'll be pressing the heck out of us to try and stop our flow of play and win back possession. Nasri will need to be on his A game in Merlin's absence and...

Pelle... Barclays Manager of the Month for Dec?

Wow looking at that it seems our away form fiasco has finally come to an end. Nevermind Barclays MOTM, he should be the world's MOTM

    Aguero or Suarez

Suarez is better at dribbling and confusing the defense but I'd rather Aguero because he's more humble and not a selfish and racist twat and it's important to be a team player in our philosophy.

Why do you support Manchester City?

My hatred for United and dislike for Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs is what pushed me to support City. I admit I started supporting City in the 2008/09 season after the big buyout but that's when I really started watching EPL and City at the time had Robinho so I was interested in seeing...

Liverpool v City Pre match Discussion Thread

He's like the Kobe Bryant of the premier league. You can't keep him out for long.

    Silva or Ozil

Silva - More consistent. Moves better with the ball and an overall better technical-tricky player Ozil - Great passer and vision and great off-ball movement and good with the ball but not consistent enough It's a clear win for Silva here

    This time 2 years ago

I'll never forget how exciting we were early on in that season and it's amazing that with all the thrashings we've been giving teams at the etihad this season, we're still short of goals scored compared to this time 2 years ago. Stats won't agree but I think we're playing even better this season...
