£56 for home games

We made the decision to give up our season tickets this season as a) we moved out of Manchester, and b) have a new addition to the family on the way. Ideally I was hoping to go and watch a couple of matches this season but there is no way I will be justifying going to a match with those ticket prices, as I have other things to spend my money on.

However, I am sure that there will be plenty of tourist who will gladly snap up those tickets. I have a feeling that the season ticket prices will go in the same direction from next season also.

Would you rather pay £35 or £55?

Would you rather watch - Ben Thatcher, Richard Dunne, Joey Barton, Darius Vassell and Georgios Samaras
or
Gael Clichy, Vincent Kompany, David Silva, Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero?

What a load of shite!!!!!

Of course you would rather watch the current squad to that of six years ago. However, you go to watch City, whoever is wearing the kit, not because of who is wearing it. The cost of going to a top flight game in this country is scandalous. They have you by the knackers because they know going to the match for most is as an addictive drug as you could take and it's woven into your fabric.

Yes it does cost per single visit, but a season card works out to around £30 a match, so as an addictive drug, no it's not that expensive

You may well be right mate, but I really don't understand how much people think they should pay, season ticket holders have shelled out £36+ in June for every game and a one off ticket purchase is bound to be more, I'm not saying £56 is right but there were cheaper available.

Or the supporters who choose to attend a game every now and again should go to cup matches where the ticket price has been as low as a tenner

Our season card prices are being kept 'relatively' low BECAUSE they are
being subsidised by the day-tripper/casual follower. £56 is ridiculous though
didn't I read last season you could get same ticket for £28?

Yeah, the Prem games are out of our price range at the mo. The Cups should hopefully be similar prices to previous years.

And what about those of us who don't live within easy, cheap-ish travelling distance of Manchester, for whom a seasoncard is not a realistic option?

Some games do come a lot cheaper I believe, this game is the first at home for The Premier League Champions return that's why it's big money.
