based on the last two seasons, a slightly more clinical striker (slightly as in he needs 0.7 shots less to score a goal).

Not sure I'd set too much store by a difference that small. Two or three goals more or less by either player (ball that hits the post goes in, or vice versa) could easily reverse that difference. I think it's look for a degree of precision that just isn't in the data

Yeah, but the Alves deal included £7m of addons so was a £30m deal, which I doubt the Negredo deal will get to.

Alves went for 23m Euros. So we have paid less than that he seems to be saying.


SSN reporting it as £34m + 23m in Bonuses.

Navas was roughly 17.5m euros

So negredo's price is somewhere between 17.5m and 23m euros (£14.9m and 19.9m).

Can't see it being as low as £14.9m , west ham had a bid rejected beginning of June for that amount. I reckon around 22m euros + extra's

Not necessairly, the bid would have come in and if Negredo turned around and said I don't want to go there and I won't entertain a contract offer then the Sevilla chairman would have just rejected it.

If it is 14.9m then what a coup but I think it will be a little more.
