1. Picking numbers out of thin air just makes you appear stupid.

2. A player that scored more goals in two years than Balotelli and Tevez combined, is most definitely an improvement.

Cavani is a beast but at 50m hes all out balls deep or spend the cash on another quality striker that compliments the team we have already and spunk the rest onanother quality midfielder on the left which is what I think were gonna do. Have faith in the engineer. The guy knows what hes doing.

People can of course prefer a Cavani or a Falcao to Negredo & I'm sure there is a fair argument for that.

Suggesting Negredo is a poor player or not worthy of a 2nd/3rd striker spot in our squad is ridiculous though & not a reasonable argument at all.

Mate.. sounds like you know how to run a football club.. what would be your choice mate if not negredo?

Obviously Negredo is a very interesting player. He scores goals on a regular basis (not just a one-season wonder), he scores them in a relatively mediocre side in La Liga, he's fysically strong, and must have a bond with already signed Navas.

He is however not the one big name player we are after. As for a name he's no Falcao, no Cavani and probably no Lewandowski. But that doesn't mean he can turn into a great player for us. Yes, he can fail. So can any of the big names tbh.

I'm just not too sure if he brings so many different options than with Aguerro and Dzeko. As for Guidetti, he is a big talanted striker who, however, is not fit and has missed to over a year of competative football. When he's fit and challenging, and he's better than any of Aguerro, Dzeko and whoever we bring in, he will play. If Negredo is a risk for some, Guidetti is an even bigger one right now.

I'm not sure genuinely. I believe in Aguero as a top player although I do think even with injuries at times his form as dipped up and down more than it should. But I do think he is a top top level player.

I also rate Cavani highly and think he is in the top bracket of striker. Much better than Negredo.

Stats are important but they arent everything. Ricky Lambert scored more last season in the prem than Rooney, Aguero etc. Should he do so again for the next 2 seasons, people wouldnt be suggesting we sign him. Actually, no they would!!
