Said release clause is non-existent according to a Sevilla English fan account on Twitter.

Not much news on this today out of Spain except Del Nido saying no official offers. A bit disappointing as Seville media were saying there had been persistent phone contact between Del Nido and Soriano last night to try and thrash out a deal. Maybe we intend to sign just one and are exploring our options... hence the Osvaldo meeting tonight.

Meeting tonight?

Well, Di Marzio said "this evening"... could be happening right now. Sabatini flew over from Holland.

I think City are playing a very cute game with the striker situation. Both Seville and Roma will know City have money and both privately will want City's money because it'll come cash up front. By linking ourselves to two or three forwards it shows potential sellers we have other options and we won't pay over the odds.

I think you'll find a lot of people wanted Fernandinho.
Negredo is the 7 highest scorer in Europe and 4th in la Liga, only 4 goals behind Falcao.
We have also signed Navas, for 14.9m (a bargain).

We have brought in an exceptional manager and adressed two key weaknesses from last season (midfield quality/mobility and width/pace) and are looking to adress another sharpish. All while lowering the wage bill staggeringly.

Skybet have just tweeted they have suspended betting on negredo next club after large bets were placed on manchester city 1/8
