What we need is a young up and coming striker as the number 3. If the rumours are true that Pelle likes Guidetti then I imagine it is highly unlikely we will be signing another striker.
However if Edin is fed up with his no 2 status then maybe he's off. In which case we would need someone experienced like Negredo to take his place. We then look a bit light if Kun is injured.
If we do buy a wide left player who can score then that would be very useful.
Then he would be stupid.
Guidetti hasn't kicked a ball in decent level football for a year & has no experience of the Premier League at all. To expect him to possibly lead the line in several key games at both Premier League & Champions League level, simply because we happen to have a couple of players with minor injuries at the same time, would be suicidally stupid & frankly, sackable.
Bang on...this blind Guidetti faith is getting tedious
From me its nowt to do with faith, He's shown he has the skill ( admitidly before the injury ) and we need to start to show that we have a path from the academy to the 1st team or we'll start to miss out on the youth players.
Either way, I'll trust Pellers on this one. If he thinks Guidetti is good enough for 3rd/4th striker then im more than happy with that. If they choose to send him on loan somewhere then thats fine too as long as there is cover.
