Tancredi saying (guessing) 30million euros now which among the bitter masses has already become £30million, which will stick like so many other exaggerated City fees until the real fee comes out.

Doesn't look like there will be any more (legitimate) updates about this tonight anyway. Negredo is on holiday until Saturday even if we do agree a fee.

What a twit. We either activated or got really close to his release clause of 18 million (9 million LESS than Dzeko). Hardly blowing the bank considering his record.

Now I would send Dzeko to Dortmund (once Lew finally gets his move to Bayern), use the Tevez, and Ballotelli money and the wages from both and Dzeko to bring in Bale and play 4-3-3.

Not sure we can get Bale, he would be great but De Maria would be another fantastic option for me.

Tevez played more games than any of our strikers and had the worst return in the League. He'll do well to match the Tevez of old, but I'm confident he's better than the current Tevez who seems to have lost something from his game in the final third.

I don't know how we will combine our strikers. I can see Dzeko going too on the other hand he may get a new lease of life. All our strikers are quality, but last season they didn't gel

Thought tevez started the season well and ended the season well, I agree his form dipped in the middle quite dramatically, don't think dzecko will get a new lease of life unless we set our whole game up to suit him (play with wingers who hit the byline and fire in crosses, like utd) don't think that would suit the rest of the squad tho (silva, aguero, nasri etc)

I would sell him now as we can still get some money back, if he spends another season stagnating over here, his value will just continue to drop, sell now and pick up reasonable fee to reinvest in the squad (ie mobile, pacey forward to stand in for aguero when he gets injured or needs a rest)

Dzeko doesn't only thrive off crosses though, his best chance of scoring is running onto through balls, either from a strike partner or a central play maker. His finishing first time is unreal, but more often than not he was involved in the wrong phase of the build up or trying to play an intricate passing game on the wing.

That said he is a threat from crosses too, but both Nasri (look at his debut) and Navas are good crossers.

Still the signing thay completely changes it for Dzeko imo is Fernandinho whose speed, dribbling and passing should create shooting opportunities for Dzeko in space.

With Negredo playing as a partner he could work for Dzeko if needed as Grafite did - in the not unlikely event Aguero is injured.

Dzecko running onto to through balls? Have you been watching city recently? I'd say big fat bob Taylor had similar levels of pace and acceleration, how many goals has he scored from outside the box for us, the only one that springs to mind was the one against spuds away, he looked like a completely different player that day, never to be seen before or since!

Yeah I watch City week in week out (admittedly from EL3) and last season I've seen us play a style that never once got the ball to Edin rapidly. Most the goals he scored at the start of our title winning season (6-1 is a good example) were like that, his goals for Bosnia and Wolfsburg. I'm not saying he's lighting quick, but his natural movement is good and his finishing is great, just our old tactics denied him space.

Did Atletico not just get a fortune for Falcao, if we get him in as I have said since the list was leaked I think he could do a very good job for us, I hope he looks as strong here as he is for Sevilla. I also cant believe how many people are complaining without giving him a chance he is a top striker for a decent amount of money I personally don't think we were ripped of or did we ripped of Sevilla. They seem to be a reasonable team wonder if they would sell us Moreno?!lol
