I'm not a fan of this signing at all however this is how i think we'd line up if you believe what you read regarding incoming transfers:

I highly doubt we'd stick the bulldozing target man out wide

It's not out wide its on the left of a front 3, but if he's not played in that position then he is going to be on the bench. We will be playing 4-3-3 and I think the team will be built around Aguero, can't see this being the case if he was shafted out to the left of the 3.

I wouldn't think Negredo will be in our starting 11, more likely to be sub or part of a plan B against weaker teams. Just because we buy someone doesn't mean they are intended to be indispensible first teamers. I'd have thought we'll mainly play one up front, which would be Aguero (hence why we're getting Negredo instead of a bigger name who'd expect a more important role)

I think he would be 2nd choice striler at 20 Million - there are better alternatives much cheaper for a benchwarmer / plan B

What about our 27m striker that we already have?

I think he will be "third" choice but will get plenty of game time.

good signing in my opinion plus I doubt the fee will be as stated.

Personally 2 more signing are required as pants has probably been told by pellers that he has as much chance as hart to play.

He doens't look all that based off the videos I've seen but you can't argue with his stats.

Interesting that all 3 (assuming this go through) purchases so far are players on the peripherals of a major international team in world cup year. All 3 will be hungry that's for sure.

For me one thing in his favour is that Atletico showed an interest. If he had gone there he would have been the next in a line that includes Torres, Aguero and Falcao. They can clearly pick out a striker.

His best season yes, 70 league goals in 139 games for Sevilla, going backwards his last 7 seasons have gone 25, 14, 20, 11, 19, 13, 18, which is a nice number on average to have as a #2 striker behind an Aguero who you'd want to go back to getting 20-25.
