Dortmund would never sell him and I am pretty sure he will extend his contract soon. IF he doesnt extend, then there is a big chance to get him in summer 2014, but this upcoming summer, its 100% impossible.

not this summer, but i can see him leaving the year after.
Me too, but IMO more probable in 2015. Draxler isnt pretending to be a Schalke ultra and stay forever like Neuer did in some way and he already made it clear that he wishes to play for a big club in the future. Not very amusing to hear for the Schalke supporters (as they see themselves as a big club), but now they know, that his stay at the club is limited.

We should go for this guy instead of Götze in my opinion.

Are they not different types of player?

Gotze is the more attacking/creative and Gundogan the defensive/deep lying type?

Yes and i think we need a defensive/ deep lying type more if you ask me.
Of course its based on, that i don´t think its possible to get both, and i would have to chose one. Otherwise GET THEM BOTH ! :)

Double swoop of Gotze and Gundogan would be simply epic! Then finally Falcao to top things off and we'd be set I reckon.

........................Hart........................

Zabaleta....Kompany...Nastasic...Clichy

..............Yaya...........Gundogan........

Gotze..............Aguero...............Silva

Fuck, that looks good!

Jesus! We'd need a corporate sponsor for each blade of GRASS in the new complex to pull that off...

Not really. The three of them in this hypothetical situation would cost circa £110million (Falcao - £46million release clause, Gotze - £34million release clause, Gundogan around £30million if at all available). We can probably spend that much, I'd guess our default transfer budget is £50million. Add in £20million for Mario and you're at £70million before selling Dzeko (who Falcao would replace), Nasri (who Gotze would replace), and I guess Barry or Garcia (who Gundogan would replace). Probably amounts to very little net spend. This all assumes the three of them would want to come here and Dortmund would sell Gundogan (does he have a release clause at all? I haven't read about one), but as I said - hypothetical situation.

Biggest question mark would be how much money, if any, would be left over as it's painfully clear that our squad needs improving so that we rely less on the first 14-16 players. But others like Sinclair, Maicon, and Lescott are on their bike and would raise a few funds.
